 If your creatures have enjoyed scoffing on those bouncy fruit, then hopefully they'll love my new Bouncing Plums 2.0, just freshly released over at the Garden Box Central forums! They now come with two extra growing stages for a more realistic plum, as well as a few minor tweaks.Any feedback and comments are welcome. I hope everyone likes this new update! Once again, a special mention goes out to Mea for the use of her sprites, in particular her generic growth sprites which feature in this new version.  Spykkie has released Version 2 of the Pearl Mermaid Norns, an amphibious CFE-based breed for C3/DS. The original Pearl Mermaids were released for the CCSF 2010, with their Pearl Ocean habitat.Much like the C2 Mermaid Norns, the Pearl Mermaid norns start out with legs as babies and only grow a fish tail at adulthood. When they become old, however, their tail becomes different. The Pearl Mermaids take up Norn Slot S. Version 2 features: ![[heart]](/images/smilies/heart.gif "[heart]") Back-view tail sprites are fixed; Old age facing and back view sprites are fixed; Completely reworked atts from the ground up; The breed now has a proper adolescent age! NOTE: Because of the trick used to make the mermaid tail possible, their atts have been modified quite a bit, and they may not crossbreed well with other breeds. Special thanks to Norngirl for in-game testing and Razgriz for genetics. |

 It took me a while, but I've finally released the Bouncing Plums Patch Plant over at the Garden Box Central forums: This juicy, bouncy fruit can now grow anywhere for all creatures to enjoy, even underwater. Any comments and feedback are welcome; this is my first foray into patch plant creation! I hope everyone likes it.  The full version of the City Norns is now available, created by Mip of Exploring The Ark!Live fast and die young! City Norns live at an accelerated pace and have a shorter life span. Fun is for sharing! City Norns love to spend their time in crowds and around other norns. Education is important! City Norns make use of the CFEm genetic edits to respond to the world in a more intelligent way. Fast food for faster living! City Norns love to eat food and fruit and get all their important nutrients from these two food groups. Unfortunately, they have developed minor allergies to seeds from their urban lifestyle so be careful with them! Convenience is key! City Norns make better use of dispensers and teleporters to fulfil their needs. The full version of the City Norns features a rebalancing so that they breed after the 30 minute mark, improved instincts and tweaked genetics.  The main article for the Creatures series on Wikipedia, Creatures (artificial life series) has been rated as C-class quality by the Wikipedia project dedicated to video games. While this means that it is considered to still have a long way to go, it is in the top 10% of all video game articles on Wikipedia. Ways that you could help make the article even better (and help raise awareness about Creatures at the same time!) include using the sources in the further reading section as references, or expanding the abstract at the start of the article, or even rewriting bits that just make no sense. With Creatures 4 just around the corner, it's a great time to be improving the Creatures article on Wikipedia! |

 Mioonktoo has released a pair of C1 COBs, a radish which grows back in the garden after it is plucked, and a variant radish, which does something very different when dropped. Mea provided the sprites, and they look beautiful in C1! You can find it in the C1 COB section here at Creatures Caves. Over at the Garden Box Central forums, TheSecond has released some succulent, healthy, Strawberries as a patch plant for your creatures. The strawberries are fruits that are a good source of Vitamin C and Anti-Oxidants, and also seem to have a mysterious calming effect on angry creatures. |

 The Wildkat Norns are making an early appearance! This nature-loving, C1toDS-style breed is based on the Eurasian Lynx, and I hope they will make a happy addition to your worlds. The Wildkats are essentially in a late beta stage; things are looking good so far, but let me know if they need any tweaks!My other release is something for the breed developer: I call it the PRAYEgger. This Javascript tool automatically generates PRAY code for an egg agent, so you can skip the tedium of writing long sprite lists. Just answer a few questions, like the name and sprite slot of your breed, and PRAYEgger will write the entire code for you. |
