Now your creatures can have more fun underwater with Grendel Man's new Swimming Agent V2 for C3/DS: After my Oasis review, I mentioned that I made a swimming agent that allowed creatures to retreat from each other. After some more tweaking, I decided that it was in a releasable state (there weren't any autokill errors, anyway). And so, here it is. There are still some bugs with it (notably, you might have creatures start swimming backwards), but for the most part it's a major upgrade from the original swimming agents that fixes almost all of their major bugs. I'm proud of it, and I hope you'll enjoy playing with it. Download it now from The Realm! ![[nevilgrin] [nevilgrin]](/images/smilies/emot_evilgrin.gif) |
We've decided to cancel the upgrade to PHP5 and just reverted everything back to PHP4. The website should be functioning normally now. If there are any bugs anywhere, just reply to the corresponding forum thread. Thanks for your patience! |
Throughout this week the server that Creatures Caves uses will be switching over from PHP 4 to PHP 5.4. During this process there will be disruptions in the functionality of the website. Please be patient as the entire website code will need to be updated, and this will take some time to be completed.
You should still be able to browse the website but the log in feature may not be working properly. We apologize for any inconvenience. |

Browse the archives, and submit a question! Just remember, Laura doesn't answer technical questions (that's what the Help Forum is for)!

Dozens of official images have been uploaded to our Wallpaper gallery and our new Promos gallery for promotional images of the Creatures series. If anyone has other official images, or better-quality versions of the images we've got uploaded here, please feel free to post them up! |
After Survivor Iceberg melted into the sea, c1anddsaddict was voted off, leaving mea as the final Survivor! c1anddsaddict began the game as a norn with possible cannibalistic tendencies, before befriending the vegetarian Laura, a small crab she named Kankan and meeting mea. c1anddsaddict listened intently to Mahk Mako's stories, and attempted to find a warp portal. Mea, despite being seen as a frightening figure early in the game, always used her many skills to benefit others, and won over many other Survivors. Don't forget to check out Grendel Man's Message In A Bottle column for more of the highlights!
Thank you to all the contestants for playing, Grendel Man for running the Opinions Column, Ghosthande for providing the grand prize, and Rascii for running Survivor: Arctic!Rascii wrote:
mea has now received her official Survivor: Arctic grand prize: a C3/DS ice cream machine agent created by Ghosthande!
Based on cutting-edge Shee research into antigravity and anti-brain freeze technologies, this machine is guaranteed to vend the perfect ice cream cone every time! No more spills, no more lost ice cream, and no more headaches!
Dropping different ingredients into the funnel will result in different-looking ice cream cones. If you wish to remove an ingredient after adding it, just pick up the machine and drop it. It will dump its contents.
There are a total of ten basic colors of ice cream (though you may discover a way to unlock many more), and seven special styles. Both colors and other effects may be derived from specific ingredients. Creatures 3 players have access to nine of these ingredients; those who play C3/DS will have access to all eighteen. Roughly half of these ingredients come with the base games, while one ingredient is to be found in one of the breed packs, and the rest come from third-party foodstuffs that can be downloaded online. Feel free to mix and match ingredients and see what combinations you get! |
For those of you who weren't already aware, a brand new Favorites section has landed on Creatures Caves!
Rascii wrote: There's now a new section in My Caves: Favorites. You may access it by clicking on the "favorites" link at the bottom of the page (whenever you're viewing a My Caves page).
This section shows all of the posts throughout the website that you have "liked", all in one convenient location. It also includes your favorite website members and forum threads (please note: these are not your forum bookmarks, but simply forum threads that you have 'liked' via the Like button).
I'll be adding the rest of the community sections soon (links, advice, resources). Enjoy. |
The surprise Norndoll project takes off, providing members of the community with a chance to get one of these special project Norndolls!LilyNorn wrote: Named in honor of my very first Norn, (who was named after my freak obsession with bears when I was little) Teddy, I will be sewing a good number of Norndolls over the next year. I will post as each one is completed, creating my very own little Norn community. However, a community isn't much fun if you can't share it with friends! So there will be many chances to receive a hand made Norndoll of your very own, completely free of charge. This is my way of saying thanks to all the wonderful people of the Creatures community! Keep an eye out for more updates, you could be lucky enough to snatch up one of the first! |

Ainarda (Elvish Quenya "Holy Realm"; 'aina'=holy 'arda'=realm) is a new world created by Merboy originally for Creatures 2 but now for Docking Station. Originally conceived in 2007, production of this new world halted for four years but resumed in 2011 when the project was completely redesigned by its creator. As it fell back into dormancy little work was done to the project, however as of 2013 the project is being offered for download.
Merboy cautions: While Ainarda is playable the world is not yet complete. As such it is offered as-is with somewhat inadequate food sources, toys, hatchery, and transportation options. Creatures WILL die in areas apart from the nursery and beneath the Great Tree where the golden apples fall. However, the world is open to anyone who wishes to add to it. There is plenty to get you started!
The world and agents for it can be downloaded at Merboy's website.
Update: Ghosthande has offered to make Ainarda more playable! |
LilyNorn has opened a new blog called LilyNorn on Albia!LilyNorn wrote: Here I will be posting the adventures of my little Norns for all to read and enjoy, as well as photos and updates on my Norndoll creation. Hopefully you guys enjoy it!
Also, I've decided to launch a little project along with this. Some of you may know of how many Norndolls I plan on making. Well I'll tell you this, I can't keep all of them! I won't post the details here, but keep an eye out for my next post! ![[nwink] [nwink]](/images/smilies/emot_wink.gif) You can meet Sally and Andy, the first of a new world, on LilyNorn's blog. |
