Old downloads are now available again, and he added the latest versions of metarooms such as Aquatilis Caverna. With November creeping up on us, the CCSF 2013 is just around the corner! Luckily, the first step is well underway: Submissions are now open! Everything Creatures-related is accepted for the Creatures Community Spirit Festival. The goal is to celebrate our beloved Creatures games, all while appreciating and enjoying the various talents of our community members. Every year has offered some excellent releases and excitement. Whether this is your first year contributing or your tenth, don't miss out on this opportunity to be a part of a huge celebration! Mark those calendars: Submissions are due by October 28th.  Fishing Cactus has posted on Facebook a scan of an article on Creatures Online in Canard PC, a French-language independent video gaming magazine that was established in 2003. The 'download' option on Facebook gives you a fairly readable copy of the full article, which focuses on the intelligence of the norns, the accessibility of the game, and the free-to-play model. |

 Introducing the Mime Norns! They look like regular Norns, but wait and see! They do still express as much but not often. They hate to play with bugs and don't push elevators when they're bored. Warning: This breed will get extremely friendly, be prepared! |

  It's been quite an exploratory and eventful week for Survivor: Space! (especially with all these photos from contestants!) Malkin and ettinmaniac have been voted off. Malkin had quite the adventure on both the space station and the planet, making friends and exploring about, and ettinmaniac stayed safe and sound in his room, away from these alleged "beasts". I guess staying in your room can't keep you safe from votes, eh? Keep your eyes peeled for more Message In A Bottle for more opinions and highlights, and keep a sharp eye out for the next contest! Stay up to date on all the adventures in the journals! Two more Survivors will be leaving the ship on September 6th, so don't forget to vote!  In the interview between two Fishing Cactus developers and Proseiben at Gamescom, quite a bit of information was released regarding the games. We've handpicked a few of the quotes that provided the newest/most relevant information here.- "It's actually based on the original Creatures source code … It was really important for us to use that as a base and not simplify it or dumb it down." - Andrea Di Stefano - "We are doing a beta that will be released on iOS in September/Octoberish … we expect to have the iOS first released by the end of the year … we will update the game at regular intervals and other platforms will follow … but we're not good at giving dates" - Andrea Di Stefano - "We have a feature in the game that the hardcore players that played the original one will definitely love because it's really like a tribute to them" - Samuel Languy - "… it's called the science kit" - Andrea Di Stefano - "Since we have like the coolest community in the world and they're really nice even though we're late … thank you guys" - Andrea Di Stefano - "We put [Angry] Nornito's spirit into a chili" - Samuel Languy - "You [can] ask a creature to do something and it doesn't react … it becomes a rebel" - Samuel Languy Please feel free to discuss your thoughts in the corresponding forum thread! |

 The Kabuto norn has been introduced over at the official Fishing Cactus blog, after being discussed here in our forums since July 1st. You can see the three photos of them here, including one baby and two adults.The post also mentions that "the Creatures Online team have landed Tuesday in Germany with the very last demo of the game in their hands," so it sounds like this being the final demo means that they're nearing closer to completion.
