You need to raise three creatchis successfully to old age (success is marked by a gold ribbon when a creatchi dies of old age) before you can determine a first-gen egg's species and gender (color is always randomly red, green, blue, or yellow, though). When you do you can hover the mouse over an egg and see what the popup tells you.

Before then you'll be able to adopt Gen 2+ eggs after successfully raising a single first gen to old age.

Just like Grendel Man says, once you raises 3 creatchis (Species does not matter) you should be able to find out the species and gender of your gen 1 egg pick,However by then you should already be able to adopt a gen 2+ egg and it tells you what gender and what species it is, however the color is usually unknown unless the parents can mix colors (eg. Blue and yellow,Green and red, Blue and red) otherwise the egg might have some colors of its relatives (Like my nornchi does, see my profile for a example, his parents and his brother are different than him)
Gen 1 eggs have specific colors and can't be any other color besides Red, Blue,Green and Yellow

She's the only gray left right now and I want to make sure she breeds, so I'm going to go ahead and adopt her.

It is indeed first-gen colors. Red might give you a higher probability of black or white offspring, though.

When Cumulonimbus kicks it in a couple hours, I'm planning on adopting either her gray daughter or this male. I'm leaning towards the latter at the moment, both for the chance for more pink grendelchis and also to fulfill a personal desire.

If I do go with the white male, I'd love to pair him up with a red grendelchi for more pinks (there's Carnelian, but Kilnarak appears to be looking specifically for a yellow male and so probably wouldn't accept a white one), but if that fails he can probably go with anyone; white's not a particularly dominant color, so I'm not worried about it overwriting another highgen color.

If I go for the gray female she'll need a firstgen mate for color preservation purposes.

If anyone would be willing to pick up a mate for either, that'd be greatly appreciated. As it is grendelchis don't seem to be particularly popular at the moment.

i've accidentally discovered a way to generate items when the shop runs out
if you buy all of something (the apples, in my case) and then refresh the page when there are no more in the shop, it treats it like you bought an additional item (gives the item and removes the coins). i refreshed a couple more times to test if it's consistent, and it is. given away my three illicit apples to hungry creatchis!

If anyone's in the market for a new Creatchi, now would be a good time to adopt a female Grendelchi!

Edit: Also, when I sell an apple, it doesn't show up in the Creatchi Mart. Is there an apple deficit? (This conversation probably belongs in Creatchi Central II but it seems like no one's using that topic.)

oh! that's interesting, that might have been me! i just sold some apples to test, and the first two didn't show up in the shop, but the third did! seems it's possible not just to just to buy apples when there were none, but to make the shop have negative apples.

edit: got an apple from posting this lol

I bought a bunch of apples with this glitch and sold them back. Only the last one showed up. So much for my plan of illegally restocking the Creatchi Mart.

At least there doesn't seem to be a deficit any more...

So probably they AREN'T "illicit" apples. They're apples that were actually in stock and were properly removed from stock, it just didn't update the displayed number. Then when you sold them back, it caught back up.

As im here,my creatchi is gonna pass in about an hour.Anyone willing to pair with this gal?

I honestly have no idea what color she could be besides lime,aqua,black,or white because her brother was White.

Oh and i forgot to mention,shes going to pass within about 20 minutes,if your reading this give her her last goodbyes before shes gone for good.

EDIT:Catnip has passed.Anyone want to pair a male with the gal?
EDIT EDIT:The gal is white just like her brother,unfortunately the lime line has ended!The only thing left is Leijons lime stripes and possibly Azuls stripes.
EDIT EDIT EDIT:Im pretty sure the gals stripes are either brown,yellow,or orange.

Ok,could you pair White Brownie with your male creatchi your gonna hatch?Shes only 2-3 days old and i have'nt found a partner for her yet (Besides maybe Sora)
