Eek! Double post! Sorry.

I'm totally caught up to this point. :)

I'll be open to new entries until the 30th of this month, so if you haven't entered yet, you've still got plenty of time to consider what you'd like your creature to look like.

In the meantime, I'll be modifying some of the rules for the wolfling run and I'll be creating and fixing the world the run will take place in. If you have any suggestions or questions, please feel free to post them. :)

All caught up again. :)

As for the run's random events, I've omitted every norn export/import rule and every egg-related rule. All eggs will be placed in water to prevent hatching. This makes it easier on me to tally who had the most offspring. As for grendel import/export, those rules are still in effect. I will be using vanilla Banshee Grendels and they will have to be manually imported by me, if an event should require that.

The interval will be every 15 minutes and I will keep a timer. Every 15 minutes, something will happen, as opposed to having me flip a coin to find out whether something does. While I am carrying out the event, the timer will be paused and I will start it again once I've completed the tasks required by the random event.

As for choosing random norms, each norn will be assigned a number, which will be added to the beginning of their name. Whenever an event requires me to choose random norms, I will use a random number generator to select those norns. I will use random list generator to assign their numbers.

All norns will begin in the C2toDS incubation area. These norns will not have any access to the Norn Meso. The Norn Meso is reserved for events that require creatures to be "locked up" as opposed to "isolated". Creatures that will be isolated will instead be moved to an unoccupied part of the C2toDS map.

There will be no litters this run, but natural twins can still occur.

Still born babies still count towards the creatures' score.

I will be using Hand Hider to prevent creature-Hand interaction outside of relocation.

Turns out I screwed up and actually used the Desert sprites for yours in the first place. So sort of a win, I guess. XD By the way, just like all the other creatures, yours only has one color for its entire lifetime.

I think my eyes are starting to cross from spending so much time in front of the Genetics Kit. :P

Caught up to this point! I've PMed Puddini about a sprite issue. Should hopefully be sorted soon.

In the meantime, does anyone have any suggestions for fixes and things that I might need for the C2toDS room? I have Beta 3 and I'm not fully aware of any problems that might arise from using the metaroom. For example, are there any missing CA links? Are there any problems with the lifts?

Anything you can think of, I'd appreciate.

Not sure I've used beta3... the last time I used C2toDS I had to use room edits to stop norns falling through walkways (not sure how it happened, but I had a norn on the top of one of the glass tubes (?) at one point).

I think that comes from low-hanging ceilings. I'll have to scan the whole place and look for trouble spots.

Is there still a problem with the push/pull scripts on the lifts? I remember before Beta 3, the scripts were reversed and it would cause navigation problems for the creatures.

The actual problem was that the lifts didn't have a pull script; the push script read the creature's drives and went up or down accordingly. Nice and sophisticated, but sadly creatures aren't rigged to push lift when they want to go down and so it was just confusing for them.

I believe they're still like that in Beta 3, sadly.

OK, Puddini. I'm doing my best with your creature but I'm having a lot of trouble getting both the purple and the green into your creature. If you had to pick one, would you prefer the purple color, the green color, or an entirely new color? I'm only asking in case I can't get it right.

Moe asked me about that just before Beta 3 was released - what the exact problem was. I told him that the problem was they don't have a pull script with the proper stimulus, only a push script, and he said that he had fixed it. (Sorry for the digression, kezune!)
