| Entomologist liked bugs a lot more than other norns, he kept a pet mantis as a baby. But it passed with time.
People told him he looked like a grendlechi although he didn’t act like one.
He was married to Tassi, whom he loved dearly. The two of them had a cozy den where the fireflies gathered in peace and tranquility. He spent his life attempting to teach norns “insects good” and was constantly giving them arthropod critters as gifts. He passed of old age on 6/6/2015. But not before he left a spider egg and a mantis egg with each of his children’s eggs.
Entomologist is with his mantis now |

I'll know next time to use the PM feature instead of having like 50 comments on my creatchis page
Thanks for all your help

Its okay, its your first creatchi after all. Now you know some things for the next one, should you decide to hatch another.

Ohhh I see, I guess I should have put up Entomologists sign then huh? Oops.

The do not disturb sign is pretty much to tell the caregivers of other creatchis not to interact with the creatchi that has it; it usually means that they're paired up with someone and are trying to improve their relationship score for breeding. It doesn't prevent socialization requests from being sent, but at least the owner still has the choice of when its a good time to accept the request.
So, by having it up on Tassi, it means that everybody but you (the caregiver of her mate) has to leave her alone so that we can get that relationship score up for breeding. For egg #2, that score to reach would be 9. Creatchis can only interact twice a day, if I recall right, so the best way would be alternating interactions between one's mate and an older creatchi who has had their egg(s) or are senile but single.

Huh, interesting! So why the do not disturb sign on Tassi?

Nope. Creatchis are breedable when they reach adolescence and remain that way until they reach senile. Although there have been a few cases where elders have become impregnated at the last second, laying their eggs after death, and at least one glitch pregnancy where a pair of dead creatchis from different species spontaniously produced an egg. (Sadly, just like their parents, the resulting creatchi never found a mate.)
Back to the subject here. The time span is enough for two eggs if a pair really work at it and make use of the do not disturb sign. To make it easier to get two eggs, some caregivers start their creatchis interactions while they're younger so that the option becomes available right away when they both get to adolescence.

Oh what really? That's awesome! But I thought they'd have to be adults first?
|
|
|
Yay! One more interaction and they should be able to breed.

When they're older, would Entomologist be interested in Tassi?
