 | Just thought I'd get a picture of this, before my Norns devoured it. |
 | (Faux Shakespearian Voice):
'Round they go, the Spam Norns!
See their faces, red and blue 'midst their sweat and chatter
With their collections of eggs! Watch how they grow,
Their life flashing by with every tick!
Gaze, if you will, into their eyes.
See their pain-- do they mean it when they state 'Me friendly'?
'Me push Norn'? Do they, perchance, seek it out themselves
Or the product of haywire instincts in their furry heads?
Witness, if you can bear-- the weeping eyes of the fair maidens.
Like clockwork, they mate, they eat, they rest
Amongst the seething pile of fur and their babes' hard cradles.
Alas! What cruel Shee or Hand would subject
Such creatures to this fate? And yet they continue breathing
Producing their own bretheren by the ket
Never to experience an Albian's life! |
 | Notice the Santa Norn sleeping standing up. |
 | Whyyyyyyyy? |
 | It woooorks. And yeah, the Balloon Bugs now live in the jungle. xD The Ettins like pushing the Flower Seed Vendor a little bit too much, I think I should add a script which only allows the seeds to sprout when there is a little bit of space. A population cap of 30 in a range of 500 just doesn't do it. x_x |
 | This is what happens when Norns don't learn their vocabulary entirely. |
 | Best name choice I've ever made for a Bondi, to be honest. |
 | Oh dear. This happened in the early stages of trying to breed a 'Manticore Norn' with a Scorpio tail, Kai head, Gargoyle wings, and Boney legs. For some reason a lot of the babies end up stillborn, with extra or missing parts, but this is the weirdest so far. |
 | I think they mix quite well. |
 | A bunch of Zoran Norns running around in Aquanornia. I noticed there didn't seem to be a lot of images of the adults, so I decided to upload this picture.
This is a fairly relaxed Wolfling Run (or maybe it's more of a Feral Run); the idea was that the Norns would have to head up to the surface for food and go down to the bottom for fruit, but as you can see they had other ideas about the fruit. Beyond that there isn't much in the way of challenge here, unless you count the Norns' own stupidity. |
 | Some freshwater acorns in C2toDS Beta 3. |
 | I made a new world for my feral run a few days ago, and the Norns have been flourishing. The old world was over 200 hours and had been running so slowly that it was almost a slideshow. Both worlds had/have an over abundance of food, and the only real danger is the IQ test when they are born. They used to have C3 breed sprites, but I edited their genome 100 or so generations back and added in some colorful C2 Norns I made a while ago. The C2 Norns sort of took over.
When they get to the 200th generation, which will only be a few days at this rate, I think I'll shove them into a seasonal migration world, or maybe split the population in to two groups and see what differences there are between them after another 50 or so generations. |
 | And another pretty picture for good measure! Don't forget to download the frog hotfix and Albia at Night from http://c2tods.ylukyun.com! |
 | A new addition to C2toDS. |
 | There are Norns who stay in the safety of the Norn Terrarium, Norns who seek danger and live in the jungle and the explorative Norns who go to the desert... And then there is this. They get born in there, grow up in there, and then die in there. They never push the button. |
