This... Spot. Screenshots Luzze | 7/6/2014 | 2 | There are Norns who stay in the safety of the Norn Terrarium, Norns who seek danger and live in the jungle and the explorative Norns who go to the desert... And then there is this. They get born in there, grow up in there, and then die in there. They never push the button. |

There's another thing. The DS home-smell is much more overpoweringly stronger than the Norn terrarium homesmell.

After installing the umbilical fix they don't crowd there anymore Now only sometomes a Norn gets stuck in the elevators nearby with the common eat elevator syndrome..

The umbilical fix doesn't stim properly so creatures still get stuck there :/

AFAIK the umbicil (the connection between the C3 ship and the DS ship) is considered an elevator (which the download linked by Jessica fixes).
The problem is that elevators usually just connect levels inside a single room, while the umbicil connects two utterly different rooms. Also, norns do not quite associate lifts with their needs to explore new areas. This makes them somewhat confused about this area.
They know (via smells) that it leads somewhere, but they just can not see the access point. No doors, no portals, only a dumb lift.

I know what you mean about "This Spot!" Do you have the Umbilical Fix installed? That might be one possible way to help out the situation. If I remember correctly, it drastically cut down on the number of my Norns that congregated in that area. There were still a couple, but the majority moved on. Or maybe there's just some magical aspect about that spot that we just don't know about!
