If you've successfully raised three creatchis, you can move the mouse over an egg and you should get a tooltip telling you the gender and species.
If you haven't successfully raised three creatchis yet, it's a crapshoot as to what species and gender you get.

Once you have raised 3 Creatchi's you can hover over the eggs and it will tell you what they are.

I know I've complained about this in the past, but I'm going to bring it up again because it still annoys the crap out of me and honestly I don't see any reason why it should still be a feature at all.
I know the energy drive doesn't drop that often. That doesn't make it any less frustrating when a creatchi falls asleep every single time its energy bar drops a stage, no matter how high it was beforehand. It's ESPECIALLY frustrating when other drives drop at the same time, making one wait an hour before they're able to do anything about them.
If it only happened when the energy drive was lower than two stages or something (that is, whenever the creatchi is making the "sleepy" expression), or if automatic naps only lasted ten minutes or less as opposed to an hour, then it'd be less annoying. But as it is it makes no sense and is only a challenge to one's patience.

Oh thank goodness! That's good to know. The game's made sure I raised one of each species for my first three too LOL so after this I can be picky without feeling bad about it. XD

Totally agree with Grendel Man on the sleep thing! I've seen them fall asleep the second their energy bar drops, so there isn't even time to put them to sleep manually to avoid it, and if it happens when I didn't get to care for their other drives and I'm not going to be online for hours, thus causing their drives to drop even lower... so annoying |

So my nornchi has passed away. Is there anyone in need of a mate? I love the nornchis the most, but I'll get a different chi if there is a need for one |

Well, since Gilder's around, I might as well look for a mate for her. Anyone have an unmatched male Ettinchi they'd be interested pairing to her?

Do you still need someone to adopt a male ettinchi? I'm thinking about finally adopting another creatchi but I want to make sure I get one that's actually needed. |

Yeah, she's still unpaired, so if you're interested, go ahead!

The Ettinchi I was supposed to match up with Greg hit senile right as he hit adolescent, so does anyone have a female Ettinchi they need a partner for? He's gen 30 so it would be a shame for him to not have any kids. |

Anyone want to pair my female nornchi with a male one?
Grendels aren't so bad, but I love Ettins! They're adorable! The complexity of creatures is quite amazing. |

About how long does it take a creatchi egg to hatch? I just picked up my first egg- a grendelchi!- and am excited for my little one to come out!

It takes around three hours. Once it hatches, a creatchi will live for around 24 days provided it's well cared for.

Turns out I've hatched a little green girl Grendelchi!
Kinda appropriate since I just got fond of grendels while playing Creatures PS1 again.

Would anyone be willing to adopt a male grendelchi? I have my eyes on a certain high-gen girl and want to make sure she'll breed.
It seems the only existing single Grendelchi male is Rha's boy, but he's past the deadzone for adopting a mate for him (that is, he'll be old by the time my girl's old enough to breed).

Seems Grendelchi needs men badly. xD Poor Emi might not get herself a man either.

I shouldn't have been so impulsive in adopting my current Creatchi Sort of wish I'd waited so I could hatch a male Grendelchi instead. But orange Ettinchis are nice |

Peredur will be kicking it in a day or two, so I'm up to hatching a male grendelchi when he finally goes.
