General Forum The Hands name    scoota94      1/27/2010 What name do you associate the hand with? Do your Norns call you mummy, daddy, ...god? I teach my Norns to call me either Scott or Daddy Do you find that a norn acts different around the hand when it knows a name for it? Don't be worried about who is right, Just follow you heart...   Patient Pirate ylukyun Manager   1/27/2010 I treat the hands as a character, and give them names and often colours. Norns don't seem to mind either way. Though I wouldn't try and name anything other than "hand" in C2, the norns would just end up calling themselves whatever it was.   Prodigal Sock Ghosthande     1/27/2010 I generally stick with "hand", or sometimes "hande", since trial and error have shown me that it is easier and quicker than using my screenname. And because I tend to get really weird looks when my mother sees them calling me "mummy".   Patient Pirate ylukyun Manager   1/27/2010 It's worth noting that I am a feral run person and don't usually interact with my norns much. So I could call the hand edgsdfiogsefrskdfsdfk22 and it wouldn't matter. But hand is always nice and concise.   Amaikokonut     1/27/2010 It's just always been "hand" for me. Old habits, I guess. Once in a while, in some of my pet worlds, I'll use "Aiko" to make it more personal, but most of the time it's just hand. [Naturing :: Nurturing]   SpringRain   1/28/2010 Hmm, I make up different names for my hand depending on what world I'm in and what Norns or Creatures I'm raising. Commonly I'm called Mummy. With cat themed Norns it's 'Meowmy' and sometimes it's my DS username, which is a bit of a mouthful for Norns and takes me a while to type back to them (when we are expressing our undying 'like' for each other), or a bit of my username or if I am really going for something plain and simple, it's just 'Hand'. I'm back after 11 years.
