For me, it would depend on 1) where these comments would be displayed and 2) how those comments would be affected if the user changed their status. I do think it's a good idea in general, because there have been a couple of times where I've wanted to comment on someone's status but didn't think it was worth bothering them with a PM or spamming a thread about it. You have to be honest with yourself when you are writing. If that leads to somewhere unexpected then perhaps you really needed to go there. -- Jim Adkins |

Pros: more community interaction cons: there would have to be a special page because comments under your status could get long if there isnt a limit. in the spring you gotta let the flowers fully blossom |

They could be on the main My Caves page, under a link like "('x' comments)" under each status? Then when you click that link the comments could be displayed? |

Probably not a feature I would personally use a lot, mostly because I forget my status even exists half the time, but as long as it didn't take away from main forum discussion I don't really see any cons. And it actually might help me remember that I have a status, heh.  [Naturing :: Nurturing] |

I think that this is a great idea, seeing as I have had several "conversations" with people via status line. The comments feature would make it possible for us to have these conversations without constantly changing the status. "Everything you can imagine is real" ~Pablo Picasso  |

Pros: More interaction within the community. Cons: lolfacebook, sort of gimmiky, possible that our user pages will need extensive re-designing. Not really active around these parts anymore. |
