I've been looking everywhere for these movies on youtube, I think they may have been there once, But I can't find them any more! They were the movies with the butterfly landing on the switch (c1), the story of the volcano and such (c2), and the ark. (c3) All 3 had narrators. Help? |

Actually, the C1 video didn't have any dialogue (though the C1 video tutorial did). Besides the unreleased Docking Station trailer, I can't find them on YouTube either.  I have the movies (since I have the original disks), but I've never been able to successfully extract them to my hard drive. If someone knows how to do that, I could give it a shot.You have to be honest with yourself when you are writing. I've tried C&Ping the files onto my hard drive, at least with the C1 movie, and they never seem to work without the disk present. I can give it another shot today, but I think I need some sort of extraction program to get the movie in the right format. :/ You have to be honest with yourself when you are writing. Or Linux  You could try to use Alcohol. It is made to burn disks, but maybe you can use it to copy files on your Hard Disk. It goes around the most copy-protect-things (god, how's that called right???) Lets play plants! Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis... |

I found the intro movie for C1, though the other two introduction movies you have requested I cannot seem to find (which is a shame). One of the CC members should use some program (maybe the "Alcohol" one Papriko mentioned) and post the other videos on youtube. I found myself surprised that I could only find the first. That was a cool movie...I've never seen it before. I remember in the PS1 version of the game there was a spider walking around instead of a butterfly, and there were a bunch of drawings carved into a wall like cave-art, and the spider was crawling over it. That stinks, I had no idea that intro was from the PC games. Oh, Dream, I wouldn't get your hopes up. It is an okay game, but it does not compare at all to the PC games. You cannot make interesting mutations or anything, and the odd thing is, the norns look nothing like their parents sometimes. o.O I tried playing it a short while ago and realized I just could not because the PC version is so much more fun. I dug up my old CDs and converted the c2/c3 intros to WMV since no one seems to have found them online yet. Unfortunately my C3 CD is scratched up something terrible so the intro skips ever so slightly in a few places and gets fuzzy at one point. I uploaded it anyway. Courtesy of Papriko, the (uncorrupted) C3 intro is now available in English Italian Spanish Dutch French German Or you can just download all of them in one zip file. Again, all in WMV format. I've gone and uploaded the C2 movie to youtube, so feel free to check it out here. I was going to upload the C3 videos as well, but whenever I watch any of them (using VLC, in case that's important) the picture cuts out at 0:43, leaving the sound to keep playing until 0:50, when the whole movie stops (even though it says it's meant to go for 0:54). Is this how the videos are meant to be, or is something wrong here? |

I think that's that's how it's supposed to be, or at least the one straight from the CD doesn't show any more video. The sound is shifted a little though between the version I ripped from the CD and the versions Papriko sent me. The one I ripped from the CD has a Mindscape logo placed before the Clabs logo, and the sound and the video end simultaneously. The versions Papriko sent do not have the Mindscape logo, so the sound starts a little later and cuts out a little after the video does. I'm not really even sure which one is "right" or intended. It may just be that Clabs did different versions before/after they knew they would be working with Mindscape and that's the way it turned out, but that's just speculation. Papriko, do you know where you got all these videos or where/when they might have originated? I can probably manually shift the video/sound if it's a nuisance though. Intended or not, it does feel a bit broken. And thanks for uploading the C2 video [Naturing :: Nurturing] |

It was really no trouble at all, the process of uploading a video on youtube takes maybe a couple of minutes  If you feel like editting the videos all over again then that'd be cool, but if not I can just upload them as they are. |

Where I got the videos from? Well, I installed C3 from a torrent because the disk did not work for me. After installing I had all the normal folders (My Agents, Bootstrap and all those) and in addition another little folder called "intro". When I looked it up, it contained all the files you got, Amaikokonut. Lets play plants! Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis... |

Wow, that is interesting. I wonder if they were actually included on certain international CDs or if they were released somewhere once upon a time and happened to be included in the torrent. Either way it's quite a nice bit of creatures media to have. I sound-shifted the other files so the video and sound end at the same time. They still feel a little cut off, but it really can't be helped-- even the video ripped straight from the CD cuts off right at the end without even a fade. Links to the sound-shifted alternatives: English Italian Spanish Dutch French German All in one zip file I also mashed together a slightly edited version of the english intro just for fun, and made some attempt to make it end a bit less abruptly.
