This is a thread where you can write funny things your creatures say or do.
My female bananna norn named Annbell says push hand and pushes that hand, the hand the grows a little as if it was being pushed forwards and then goes back to it's normal size.
It's really cute, she started to do that when I said "hand extremly friendly annbell."

Well, my Grendels say sometimes "hit self" is good against anger...

My norns don't care about their kids and will sometimes hit them to their death's even when the parent is not crowded.

I've had that happen too. It's really weird--it's like they just reject the baby, but then later when another one comes along they're all perfectly happy and don't care. Seems like it's usually the father, too.

My C1 norns used to say they wanted to "get yes". That is, they wanted to get rewarded. I thought that was the cutest thing...

Is that what that means? XD
My C1 and C2 Norns used to say that, too, when they were lonely or scared, but I could never figure out what they meant.

My norns mate with their own children, but all norns can do that right?

Yeah. I'm not sure Norns can really tell if another Norn is related to them or not. If they do they certainly don't seem to care.

My norns recently seem to have taken to suggesting other creatures "rest" random objects; IE:
"Bernard very tired"
"Maybe rest fruit Bernard"
I'm not really sure why this is, but I don't think it's ever happened to me before now.
They've also threatened to "eat hand"

Being eaten isn't so bad. At least you're being productive (ish). It's when they start coming after you in hordes chanting "hit hand" that you need to rethink your gaming strategy.

I've seen Norns suggest that, too. Where do they get the idea that the hand even has starch? Obviously they aren't speaking from experience.

Well, I think I am again the guy who killed the fun of this thread when I say that, but I think that "eat hand" thing is a gene mutation.
maybe one of the stimuli mutated from "eat seed" to "eat hand".
or the combination lobe in the brain has a tick

That would make sense, except it seems to be pretty common that Norns want to eat the Hand. And I get that from a lot first generation Norns; I can't really see the same mutation occurring spontaneously over hundreds of first generation Norns.

That was just an idea. I didn't say that it really so is.
Whatever, as long as they do not "hit hand"...

I've had my C3 Norns threaten to 'eat self' and quite commonly suggest to each other to 'rest' random objects as well. (always makes me giggle), I have no idea why though and can't figure out what the dear little things mean. One time I had a bizarre occurrence where a young norn I was looking after decided that they really didn't like the hand after another creature they were living with was hitting/slapping them repeatedly. For some reason, the anger got directed onto me! 'Me/name of creature hate hand' isn't exactly the nicest thing my norns have ever said to me. Lol.

The funniest thing I ever saw was when a female Hardman norn said, "Chikami hate Arniko." The quote in itself wasn't what was funny, it was the fact she had this HUGE smile on her face. XD
My norns have also said, "Eat Enya" on occasion. *Inches away from her monitor* |

My C3/DS norns say....
1st Norn:Bob extremly friendly
2nd norn:Maybe left/right something Bob

Yes, I've had my (C3/DS) Norns say that too. ^_^ One of them will say they're 'extremely friendly' or something to do with being 'friendly' and sometimes all my other norns around them give them every suggestion BUT to 'push norn'. Lol. Obviously it gets the message across that nobody is interested in 'Bob' or whomever the poor norn may be.

I decided to leave a quick wolfing run going while I was taking a nap the other day. There were already a few interesting mutations when I came back, but what caught my attention was an exchange between two random Norns: a male approached a female who was standing over by the empathic vendor, and declared "bub extremely friendly." The female replied, "pull weed bub." As this was a plain undocked world, I can only assume she was telling him to "go kisspop the Trapper plant"!
Norns can certainly come up with some colorful insults. 0.o;
