GreenReaper has announced today: "Two of the three original background models used to create the background image of Creatures 1 have been put up for auction, presumably by Gameware (mentioned on Cwiki by Dylan Banarse): Garden scene (terrible photo, see above) Statue of Liberty underwater scene They are similar to the norn-home model (a better photo) that - last I saw - was on display in Gameware's meeting room.
