New Grandroids Interview Laura | 11/13/2015 | 9 | Hey, remember Grandroids? Last month, Steve Grand was interviewed about the project's inner workings and progress for the How We Get To Next website:
The Brain in the Machine
He's currently teaching the Grandroids how to pee! The article also discusses Steve's background, Creatures and Lucy the Orangutan Robot, so it's definitely one to get your teeth stuck into. Especially if you weren't a backer on Kickstarter!
And did I read correctly that Steve hopes to have something he can release as a "commercial product" sometime during 2016? I think I did! |

I wouldn't suggest putting out a "commercial product" somewhere high profile, where people would just judge the graphics and UI, and whine about the lack of missions...
But a low key little store to allow more fans to buy into the demo would make sense, until the game is nearer to complete and some glitter has been added.

His diary on his Grandoid website is particularly interesting, and accessible even if you aren't a backer.

I believe in Steve and his hopes. When he says "sometime during in 2016" it could always mean late 2016. Plus he didn't specify whether a commercial product would be the full game or not. It could be the full game, or it could be a bigger, public beta, or it could be anything in-between.

| If he plans to put a "commercial product" out during 2016, doesn't he kind of need to work hard and fast? Judging by the picture, he is nowhere near finished. Could be wrong tho, will be interested in seeing what's up.

Grandroids > Creatures Online? Check.

I feel like he's taking care of a newborn child, not an artificial life-form.

No problem. Thanks SpaceShipRat for giving me the heads up!

Thanks for sharing the interview!

Think this might end up becoming a breakthrough someday?
