Creatures Online: Reward/Punish Buttons Malkin | 11/9/2013 | 2 |
In this week's Creatures Online update, Fishing Cactus have gotten some feedback from the BigBen testers which they are working on implementing.
Fishing Cactus are experimenting with a new way to give rewards and punishment to the norns - adding a small thought bubble showing the action the norn just did and the drive that triggered the action. A “yes” and “no” button in the bubble can be pushed to give feedback to the norns.
The eggs have also been altered to hatch by being tapped. (Pictured)
What do you think about these new developments? |

There's been an in-depth reply by Andrea di Stefano recently, check it out!

lol, Yes, because in normal situations the way to coax animals to hatch out of their eggs is to tap/force them out. Hahaha.

I really do hope that the eggs have the ability to hatch on their own, tapping or not, because, otherwise, there'll be no wolfing runs... :I

I totally forgot that those games ever existed.

I hope we can still type commands to norns because clicking on what to say is just too much like creatures PS1 and GBA, which weren't very well received games.

Noo just leave things as they are! The reward/punishment system as well as the egg hatching have all been a big part of the series to me so changing them will make it seem too alien.. I usually don't mind some change but these actions should just stay the way they are.

Urgh....
I'd prefer to see the egg hatching. I mean I don't mind tapping, as long as the Norn/Creature is still doing a good deal of the work.
Along with that, the thought bubble is weird.
I assume they could still implement scratching the head, and hitting the norn on the bum (or in general, a hitting motion)
