In this week's Creatures Online update, a Norn meets a spider in the caves of Sphericus...

That norn is cute! I like that it doesn't have the tan around the hands/mouth like the other pictures. That always made them look a bit more like monkeys than norns to me, although they are cute too!

As far as I can remember, an iOS version is slated for the end of 2013.

Is there a release date for this game yet? I'm really excited about it!

I can't wait to see this spider's animation in action however.

I think that part of the object of the game will be to reconstitute pure breeds from mixed breeds at some stage... that's why they label genes as being from the Lab Norns or Kabuto Norns, etc.

The spider and the white spots on the mushroom look a bit low-poly. Is it mean't to be a very early dev screenshot of that part of the area?

So the Norns will have different instincts, which is always nice. I'm wondering if we can actually change the genomes like we can with the other game, or if we are stuck with some barely useful genetics kit that we can't do much with. I can understand locking out breeds you haven't unlocked/bought, but I should be able to create a mean Norn if I want to.
That altruism drive still sounds interesting though. It'll be cool to train them to water plants, and fix their own stuff.
