So far, Norns are happy and breeding. Frogs, Aqua Tubas, Aqua Grazers, and Stickleback Trout all survive with no troubles. Things are looking up!
I'm just now getting back into Creatures after a several year hiatus, thanks to Laura and mfb helping me get it set up on my MacBook Air. I'm loving all these Garden Box agents, especially the bouncing plums.
This is a little screenshot of my C1 cow named Bessie. The little Norns love the milk!
I tried my hand at a Wolfling Run: it was cute and fun to come back the next morning with generation 4 Norns.
They are all Golden Gnarlers, even in the other room in this world.
I'm doing a Wolfling Run, attempting to make "Wild-tone" Pearlmaids, so I check in, and see this. Taste the rainbow! BE the rainbow!
Don't remember if I've ever seen a golden gnarler before, and certianly not three at one time.
I caught these two Colortrue Pearlmaids taking a swim together! They were even dancing in the water, turning in circles and doing adorable underwater dancing patterns. What a couple of lovebirds! ![[heart] [heart]](/images/smilies/heart.gif)
| A shot of my current Pearlmaid world.
It's based on the Aquatic Terrarium. The western tank, shown here, is where the swimming adults are kept. The babies have the rest of the metaroom to themselves (though there's nothing stopping them from joining the adults, given that the airlocks are all open).
Nobili and Sharkie are the parents of all the babies thus far (yes, that includes Manta in this picture - quite a contrast from his mother, isn't he?). Otohime hasn't bred in this world, but she's content enough with the status of resident "cool old lady."
Once Otohime passes I'm adding some gen 1's to the world to prevent Nobili from trying to kisspop her offspring, but for now these three and their descendants will do. |
The Pearl Mermaid I got for winning Round 1 of Jessica's Aquatic Wolfling Run. Nobili is short for Nobiliana, the species name of the Atlantic torpedo (an electric ray). Looks shocking, doesn't she?
I really don't know what happened here - I think I was missing some sprites, and possibly some body data, having copied the breed info between machines. This is Hover, a Butterfly Norn who's in the current Wolfling Run as Arthur (one of DarbyDoo's).
This time, the males get in on the fun. That arm doesn't look right....
Their nest is on the whole other side of Chione.
I finally decided on a new world type for my long running Grendel Wolfling Run, and just knew that Chione needed a village some where. Various other places in the caves have shacks as well. The "theme" for the world is cold and lack of food, which is a nice change from the Norn garden's over abundance of food.
I know beauty is in the eye of the holder, but... just no.
