The Norns VS Clothes Debate! 1 | 2 | |

Do norns really hate clothes?
In my opinion, if drawn right norns actually look kinda cool (Or cute) in clothes. What about you?
Here's a list of wacky clothed norns I've dreamt up:
Hardman norns in karate blackbelt outfits
Bondi norns in wetsuits (with surfboards of course)

I can't put my characters in clothes. I furthest I'll go is a cape or sash, but as soon as you get into shirts and shoes, my mind has a giant "WTH?!" moment.
That doesn't mean someone else can't make them look good in clothes, but that someone just isn't me.
You have to be honest with yourself when you are writing. If that leads to somewhere unexpected then perhaps you really needed to go there.

Hmm...
What I think is: If CV norns can look good in clothes, why at least C3/DS norns?

I think the best cloathes for norns would be like bandanas, or hats, or shoes. Or, (BREED SPOILER ALERT!!!) armor.
Nine times have I been told im crazy and ten times I have accepted it. |

Hmm... I'd say norns are better all or mostly naked- especially furry norns (I like drawing fuzzies better than clothedness, hah). |

If you start putting Norns in clothes you'll have to start dressing up squirrels next

Right then.
there are norns that have fur patterns similar to cloathes. and some norns even have earrings.
Tattos would be cool on a norn.8)

I sketch norns in clothes sometimes. They look OK, in my opinion but I haven't tried asking anyone else. One of the norns in my 'the travellers' pictures in the fan art gallery is wearing very rusty armour. |

and some norns even have earrings.
Earrings don't look as odd to me; jewelry could just indicate a norn's culture, or status in a world/tribe/society/whatever. Or the item could be of significance to the creature wearing it, in which case they "wear" it as a means of keepign an eye on it.
Full-blown clothing just seems to be taking it too far towards into anthro category, which I respect but have little interest in, personally.

The Sol 3 norns for C2 sorta have clothing. (Although they have to have clothing as they ARE anthos)
And the Kai norns have earrings.
I think I remember seeing a norn with clothing once. (C2) it was a breed.

Don't remind me of the pleasantville norns
They're cute, but overalls don't suit norns, I can't remember what game they're for. |

Pleasantville norns?

There was a C3 breed of the same name, but they had no clothes.
I guess it WAS for C2.

Norns with armour, fine.
Norns in khaki, fine.
Norns in wetsuits, fine.
Norns in shoes, no good. Shoes spoil the nornish lookm 'cause you wouldn't be able to see their cute paws! |

how about a JACK SPARROW norn! with the black hair and beads, the vest and belt and stuff!
or perhaps a lord of the rings metaroom, with Elf ettins, Hobbit norns, and orcgrendals. or maybe a pirate metaroom! monkeys, parrots, 'fake' rum, and A bouncing black pearl!

norns dont so mutch have paws in all the games, in C1 they have paws, in C2 they have almost human feet, and in C3 they hace claw/elephant paw/feet things.
And, as I said just making a breed for somthing it wears is fairly pointless, as creatures are more like monkeys then people. Monkey/squrrels.

My norns have paws. ^-^
I don't like C3 feet much, but the rest of the norn is cute. |
