Hey guys,
So since I am making this new world and it has some preview pictures, and I have gotten pretty far as far as images and such, I would like to ask if anyone has any opinions on what they would like to see in it.
So, if you have any ideas on what you would like to see, please post your ideas! It could be anything from old COBs you would like to see improved or added, or brand new ideas! I have a lot of room to add anything you guys would like to see, so please give me anything and I will let you know if i have done it or added it.
So far I have expanded a lot of things, but I would love to hear everyones ideas.

Oh, if possible, I would like the little clocks in the world to be push-able by creatures. Just to make them a bit more interactive.
Like maybe they could chime, or a cuckoo could pop out when a Norn pushed them. My creatures find them interesting but they can't do anything with them - they love to stare at them though.
Another thing I've been thinking about is that it would be nice if Norns could touch the waterfall near the beehives, but I'm not sure if it's possible to make objects that are nature touchable or interactive.
Something else that I mentioned recently was wishing the cloud layer butterflies to be push-able and such by Creatures as well.
Those are my little ideas for now. Thanks for asking,
I've also wondered whether a simple weather system or daytime and night times could be in the game, but...I think that's just wishful thinking. Lol. ^///^
All of these are just ideas but here is my 2 cents for what it's worth.

The artwork you've already shared with us is fantastic - it's beautiful and will really expand the game. One thing I remember as being frustrating from C1 is that there often weren't enough toys to go around - though if you're putting a focus on norns being able to interact with the animals, that might not be so pressing. Good luck with it!

SpringRain, I have added some new things to the clocks so they make some different noises if norns or the hand pushes it. I also was playing around with some scripts to make norns happy if they push the waterfall. I was trying to get it to make them giggle but i might need to play around with that a little more before i get it working. The butterflies i have added are also pushable. they flutter around a bit when they get pushed =) the fish will wiggle too when they get touched. I am working on making the animals a little more interactive with norns and other animals too.
Weather is doable, and you can add seasons to it too. Getting the background to look like different seasons has been a long dream of mine but would take a lot of editing to get to work. perhaps in the future, but I am working on making leaves and snow and rain blow around!
Malkin, I have gotten several more toys in store, so there should be some more fun with those. But I am sure the norns will love playing with the animals too!

I remember I really prized the tamagotchi cob and the punching bag for their rare anger-soothing qualities, which assisted me in taming my grendel - will there be any anger-reducing 'soothing' COBs around?

I can't wait to play with this world when it's finished; C1 is one of my absolute favourites, and the preview shots were amazing and brimming with fun. I also second Ylukyun's suggestion; more edible plants would be perfect. They really transform how a world looks, and its always good to have plenty of food sources, especially when you have picky Norns! |

The biggest thing I'd like in a C1 world has apparently already been done: making the oceans inhabitable by creatures, and making it so that the stuff living down there can be eaten. Beyond that, I can't think of much else that hasn't already been said.
Echoing everyone else's sentiments on this project; it looks like it's going to be a great one.

Awesome. Thank you guys so much for your input!
There will be many new edible plants! I have been recoloring new ones nonstop for weeks hehe! There will be lots of growing fruits and veggies around, plus ill be throwing in some extra garden space for more root plants =)
Malkin, I havent quite thought about anger soothing qualities in some COBs, but its a fantastic idea. I was hoping to make the cloud room a very soothing and calm room.
Grendel_Man, I have expanded the ocean floor so there are many things to play with and eat! I hope it will be a fun place for your creatures!
I love all this input! Keep throwing me some ideas =)

This is going to be vague-on-vague-on-vague, but just... a variety of objects, that can be interacted with in a variety of ways, creating a variety of effects. The more rich and 'messy' the environment, the broader spectrum of behaviour we're going to elicit from our creatures.
And that if there's something which increases a drive, there should be something that decreases that drive elsewhere in the world. (Hopefully not *too* elsewhere, but not immediate, either.)

Also, make sure there aren't large stretches of foodless area the norns can get lost and starve in. Personally I'd like one thing be edible in every room.
By the way, I don't care if anyone steals my ideas for their own work, as long as you don't try to stop me from making my own stuff. Many ideas I mention are things I don't have the time or skill to actually do. |

No foodless areas is checked. Some of the rooms are very long, but I have been looking or adding plants/vendors to each area to make sure there is at least something to eat.
Malkin, yes, I am working out the classifications. There will be some new ones, such as root, weather, fruit, veggy, mushroom, chitin (which is mostly insects and spiders and other little crawly things), processed food, and a few others I will have everything cataloged as well.
Well its getting closer and closer to being done! any other thoughts or things to add?

That sounds cool. Will any of these overlap with the TN classifications? Will there be an Encyclopaedia Diabolica? |

It might have to overlap the TN classifications, since there are only so many word slots that a norn uses to identify objects, but I am willing to change any so you can use a COB without having clashes.
Yes there will be an encyclopaedia! I love that name you gave it I wanted to actually try and make a computer, but it might depend on how good I am at animating those little screens lol.

Heh. I'd probably just rejig the Encyclopaedica Nornica - I think it's got all the word slots in there, even if they're currently empty.
(I've never even made an ordinary cob. The thought of trying to make a computer cob is... disturbing.) |

So, I believe I have all the sprites I want for the world finished, sizes fixed, etc.
Does anyone have a good idea on how to organize the sprite file? I could organize by color, and type, but I also wondered if a sprite file could be too large. I know the world file can be large, but what about having just a bunch of smaller images in one file?
I thought i could have an animals sprite file, then inside the file it could be organized by colors.
I have around 4000 images (poses included), so organizing is key to have when you have so many. Does anyone have any ideas?

I would organize them by norn words, like "food" or "herbs" or "toys." So if we're looking for something in particular it'd be easier to find.
If you don't mind my asking, what program are you using to make these beautiful cobs? I've been playing around with CrEd32, but the sprite converter changes the colors, even when I use colors straight from the Albian background file. |

i use either the bobcob sprite converter or bmp2spr. there is still some issue with colors changing, like aqua doesnt show up at all, it shows up blue. But its a lot better than using CrEd32 (I messed around with that one and it changed all the colors to something strange). BobCob sprite editor is good if you have tons of poses to add, but bmp2spr is good if you only have a few. However, i find the bobcob sprite editor to maintain the best coloring.
