What got me thinking about this was today we picked up a pack of my absolute favorite fudge graham cookies. Those things are amazing, the crunchy/dry of the graham balances with the smoothness of the (very) melty chocolate. They're incredibly sweet, and you can't eat too many at a time!
So go, share your favorite cookie(s) (and the reasons why of course!) |

I like just about any cookies, but they have to be those big ones that you can buy from the bakery, and I mainly enjoy any with white chocolate in. |

My favorites are Keebler's fudge stripe cookies, and any chocolate chip cookies (but especially the ones with M&M-like candies in them). I like them better if they've been in the fridge for a few days so the chocolate gets harder and less melty. Oreos are pretty good too (also refrigerated so the cream stuff isn't melty). And just plain cookies like shortbread, butter cookies, sugar cookies. Oh and gingerbread. And those circus animal cookies with the sprinkles. ... There's a lot of good cookies |

I had white chocolate in cookies once, it was pretty good. Big, soft cookies are some of the best, like fresh baked chocolate chip. Oatmeal cookies with glaze are great, too, even with coffee (And I'm not a coffee person).
I used to take Oreo's apart and put all of the cream together in a ball and eat that after the black cookie part. It was great. |

I like Oreos, but I can't seem to pull them apart. Maybe because I always refrigerate them. They're probably my favorite.. I like stuff coated in chocolate, too. |

Have you tried twisting the oreo in order to get it apart? Works for me. |

Yeah, Google says they're much harder to twist if they've been in the fridge.
Oh, and for the record, I am a Rich Tea type of girl. |

For me they're always easiest to twist when the cream is cooler, otherwise it sticks to the cookie and breaks.
But I haven't had Oreo's in a long, long time and they might've changed the cookie or filling. I've also never refrigerated them.
Edit:
I looked up the Rich Tea Biscuits, they sound really good! I hadn't ever heard about them before this. New cookies ( or biscuits in this case ) are always a good thing. |

I'm not actually too keen on cookies, I much prefer sandwich crackers (the more unhealthy the better).
If they count as cookies, the best cookies I've ever had have to be my mom's homemade kolackys. |

Cookies are not generally my thing... with the possible exception of shortbread-based cookies.
...okay so I do have this unhealthy obsession with jammie dodgers. It doesn't help that they're not standard US cookies, so I have to go to world market to get them. I clear out their supply at least once a month. I might have a problem ;_; ..
...But there is something about them+tea that is just magical. I can't stop. I just bought four more packages today...

I live in England, so you probably haven't heard of it (Laura excepted), but Cooplands, a British bakery do really good cookies.

Peanut butter cookies are a childhood favorite, but so difficult for me to get. Other than that I like the cheap lemon cookies with the cream inside that we get in the big packs with crackers from Costco. They're especially delicious dipped in coffee, but good plain, too. The Oreo rip offs that they come with are just plain nasty, but the vanilla's edible when dipped.
I also really like Milanos, but never much at a time. I get them as a treat for when I've accomplished things. |

Why has no one mentioned Girl Scout Cookies!
I like pretty much anything of the chocolate mint variety, Girl Scout or otherwise. It's hard to make a box last more than a day around here.

I love molasses cookies- but only the soft, moist, slightly sweet kind. It's just not a molasses cookie otherwise. |

I really love oatmeal raisin cookies! Ahh they are so good, especially when they are soft and chewy! Chocolate chip cookies are also great.

I like these peanut butter cookies. I've only made them once, but they were sublime...
I also like lemon cookies and anzac biscuits and shortbread.

I like just about every sweet thing in existence, and this would certainly include cookies (or biscuits as we often call them over here in Australia).
I am on a restricted diet but some of my top faves are choc-chip, chocolate with peanut butter 'icing' in the centres, shortbread, triple choc, and berry chocolate. I also like ANZAC biscuits from a company called Rowies Cakes.
(Note: most of these are gluten free, nut free and so on but still incredibly delicious. Lol)

Although many are my favorite, most homemade, I'm gonna have to say my current fav is White Chocolate - Lime cookies.
I can't wait to try Kaffir Lime cookies this spring though. They should have a Lime-Pine flavor to them. Sounds weird but Kaffir Lime is awesomely tasty.

I like most biscuits but my favourites are chocolate chip cookies and chocolate malted milk biscuits. Oatmeal raisin cookies are also good! Oh, also Hovis digestive biscuits and Rich Tea.
... Really, I like any biscuits which don't have nuts in. ![[ntongue] [ntongue]](/images/smilies/emot_tongue.gif)

Often in supermarket around here, there are these nearly pure white, supper soft sugar cookies with lots of frosting and sprinkles on them. I LOVE those, I wish I knew how to make them that soft...

Home-made "I make them" mint chocolate chip cookies. The trick I have is to tear open a mint teabag to get nicely dried mint leaves that I can mix in... |

Home made chocolate chip cookies. That is a good idea about the mint. I also have to try making peanut butter cookies some time. |

I don't eat a lot of cookies. But I do love jaffa cakes! Not sure if they count as cookies, but they're certainly eaten as cookies so there.
I also like Dutch windmill cookies, also known as speculoos or speculaas locally. Om nom nom.

Has anyone tried to make their own cookies?
I started doing this a couple of years ago and now I hardly ever bother with store bought cookies because the homemade ones are so much more satisfying. I found an excellent sugar cookie + frosting recipe that I fall back on regularly, though my favorite cookie is actually good ol' chocolate chip.
You have to be honest with yourself when you are writing. If that leads to somewhere unexpected then perhaps you really needed to go there.

My sister and I sometimes make cookies our selfs, we dont buy store cookies very often, only really for a treat So we make them xD
And the more suger the better
We dont really use recipes we just make up our own!
Wich can be fun! We add what we find, I might try making a made up recipe tomorow... I think I will add some choc spread And suger... Lots of Suger...
(Im a total sweet tooth...)
And then sell them to my family xD
It can be a good way to make money
There are 7 kids in my family, 9 in all so 8 of them are going to want at LEAST 2 xD Im going to want one to...
(One of them is to little to eat food yet)

Like AquaShee (*waves at AquaShee*), I'm a fan of Jaffa Cakes or any other cookies like Jaffa Cakes made of thin wafers of sponge cake covered with a layer of fruit-flavored jam or jelly and then topped with chocolate. Two stores in my neighborhood sell a Polish variety called Delicje that not only comes in orange flavor but also apricot, cherry, lemon, raspberry, or strawberry. I'm also partial to Pepperidge Farms Mint Milanos, Anna's Ginger Thins, and (that old standby) chocolate chip cookies -- as it happens, the best commercial chocolate chip cookies I've ever tasted, very close to homemade, are served at McDonald's. |
