Hi, I know I haven't been on here for a while, but that's because I'm having a bit of trouble re-installing my games.
I am just wondering; is it possible to install DS on an external hard drive and play it from there? I was trying to install in on mine but I keep having a lot of problems. Also, is there anywhere to download the newest version of Docking Station? I wanted to dock my C3 capillata with DS but that didn't work when I tried. I want to be able to play both the games from an external hard drive and so far C3 has been running okay from it. However, I'm still having quite a few problems. Is it possible to do this?

Yes, it is quite possible to play DS from a external hard drive, actually, that's how I play. After installing DS if you hit Install again it will check for an updated version. Hope you get up and running! |

Thank you so much, Epaeris. I really appreciate that. I had an old copy of DS on a cd that I was using but it didn't seem to want to install from there onto my external hard drive, so then I was trying to find somewhere to download DS from and try to put it on there that way. But... the link to the free DS on Creature Labs was broken when I went there. So, I'll try to install again and see if it works. I still have all my Norns from my Norn family saved, thankfully.

Okay, I finally got my DS to work off my external hard drive. (Yay! ^_^) However, the game runs rather slow. It has tons of space to use so that can't be the problem. I'm not sure why it's running quite slowly. Apart from that, it also won't detect Creatures 3 which I have installed on there as well, so I can't dock the two worlds. But, I'm just glad that it's working! My Norn family is all imported and re-established and hopefully I'll be having some new additions soon.
Okay it's fixed now. After restarting the computer it's running just great.
