 | Princess Penelope models her Ancient Egypt inspired outfit consisting of a braided headband wig, gold collar with real gemstones, wrap, and dress with gold leaf trim. |
 | Petra's first foray into the world of fashion design! Here she is modelling her creations. From left to right:
Little black dress. Every woman needs one, even if the woman in question is actually an Ettinchi! Comes with a smart beehive wig.
Jeans and t-shirt: Not the most glamorous outfit, but a basic wardrobe staple that is also unisex. Paired here with a cute pixie cut wig and denim style flats.
Bodice dress: This flowing dress is a combination of black and dark red. A wig, skull pendant and fishnet arm warmers complete the goth look. |

 | I used the Bengal at the top of this site for head reference and then unwittingly drew the same hair as the Bengal. |
 | This is my first time posting to the galleries here, so sorry if I made this image too big or something. This is a preview of the underground level of the current metaroom I am working on... |
 | This is my first attempt of fan art of ANY kind, so I really hope you guys like it. This is a re-imagined image of the first C1 Norn I ever loved (this was many, many, maaany years ago), and her name was Liz. I actually cried when she died. This is how I image she could have been reincarnated into a C4 Norn. I used the C4 promo image as an aid to help me figure out how to draw the thing. Hope you enjoy it! |
 | Looks like the pattern was a success! The White-Haired Pixie Norns were always my favorite breed, especially their fluffy little tail, so I added a sort of wig cap and used a wire brush to fluff him up. He has threaded joints and wires in his legs and arms, but he still doesn't stand well. Maybe I should have put weights in his feet or something. His eyes are needle felted. I debated whether to try and give him pupils, but decided against it. Maybe for the next one? |
 | Goodness I need a better camera. |
 | Had an idea and ran with it: a basic Amigurumi Norn body. Gonna try again soon and make another with more Norn-ish colors. |
 | Here she is again with red eyes. ![[nevilgrin] [nevilgrin]](/images/smilies/emot_evilgrin.gif) |
 | Here you are, a coloured version of this. See the sketch for the breed description! ![[nsmirk] [nsmirk]](/images/smilies/emot_smirk.gif) |
 | A little sketch of a breed concept I've been mulling over. Having developed a more benevolent opinion of Grendels, I decided to share my own take on them.
Troll Grendels, (named so because we called it the Troll when I was little) are a reclusive breed of Grendels native to Dulcia. They have pretty light green colouring, with bands of blue around their wrists, ankles, and tail, as well as a scattering of blue speckles and a couple stripes below their eyes.
These Grendels have classic yellowy hair, but rather uncharacteristically of Grendels, they have soft, short fur in place of scales, and curious blue eyes rather than the typical red. They do have hard spikes on their backs for defense, and sharp claws should they need them. Also noteworthy are the small, ridged horns seen between their fluffy hair and floppy ears.
Troll Grendels are a tree-dwelling breed, and are very protective of their young, forming strong family bonds. Being tree-dwellers, they have adapted to survive long falls better than other species. They are typically shy and reclusive, but are not easily crowded. In contrast to other Grendel species, they are rather mellow and laid back, getting along wonderfully with Norns and Ettins.
However, they ought to be kept away from violent breeds, as slaps give more fear and pain than average. Slaps from the Hand also fill Troll Grendels with fear, but a friendly pat helps calm them and reduce pain.
So there you have it, my very first in-detail breed concept, and a Grendel of all things! Comments and opinions would be much appreciated. ![[ngrin] [ngrin]](/images/smilies/emot_grin.gif) |
 | The development of a metaroom for C3/DS I'm working on. So far, both the main mountains are done. This metaroom will be a draconian Norn, heat Norn, carnivorous Norn, and flying Norn oriented metaroom. Each of the dark areas are warm "caves" for the Norns to live in. In the middle will be a large variety of wildlife with a stream in the very center.
If anyone would be interested in lending a hand to this project let me know! |
 | Ran out of ponies so here's a Shark Grendel. Reuploaded a smaller version. :3
Paint Tool Sai. |
 | Really, really rough 15 minute sketch. xD
So the body parts are disproportionate and the coloring is non-existent, save for the poorly colored eyes... I don't know what happened there, looks a little cross-eyed, and her face is smushed. I swear I don't draw this bad all the time but my tablet is being funky... it really hates Windows 8.
Anyhow, this is awkward concept art for a breed I wanted to make for many years. (Basically, a childhood dream, haha) The Wraith Norn would be based on the Wraith from the Stargate series, except well, a little cuter. XD They are a pale blue color (coloring in sketch is inaccurate) with white/blue hair. They'd become angry when "hungry", and would hit Norns/Ettins/Grendels to relieve the hunger and anger, similar to the Wraith in the TV series.
They would not require food, and would probably become ill or in pain if they did eat it, since their sustenance comes from "draining" the life force of other creatures. I'd imagine that they would have their own ability, similar to how a Borg Norn teleports, that causes creatures to age after hitting them, and gives them their food/nutrients/etc (Since that's how it goes in the TV series). It would not work on other Wraith Norns, though, even though that's possible in the series. Needless to say they would not generally be non-Wraith Norn friendly, but I'd expect them to have a high mutation rate so you could get some pretty interesting stuff as a result from breeding.
There could be an only Ettin, or only Grendel, drain-life hit thingamabob version too, if you want them to live with other Norns, and not, well, kill them. I haven't heard of anyone else with a similar idea, but it's not that original, so if you came up with this too, sorry. xD It's rather difficult to search the entire community of creatures to make sure you didn't accidentally take someone else's idea. xP
Here's a page on the Wraith from the TV series, if you don't know what I'm talking about: Wikipedia - Stargate Atlantis.
On a side note, do 3D models of Civet Norns exist? If so, I'd like to have a look at them, since these Norns are also based off Civets. I'd be interested in making the Wraith Norns into a breed, for fun. :3 I'd probably make a new model, or alter the Civet one (if that is allowed)? I'd make these guys as a learning process on making Norn breeds/agents/etc...
Since it's summer and finals are [almost] over, I could commit an amount of my time to this possible project, when I'm not at work or working on my video game. ^^ I'm up for a challenge~ Now I'm off to edit an actual Norn image so it will look better!
If you'd want to help out and make this idea a reality, let me know! ^_^
Anyway, thanks! This is my first post in the art section [I hope its the right section]! Please excuse the odd color scheme of the pic, and long description is long! D: |
