I don't mean to be rude, but who are those people anyway that they just suddenly show up one day with a modern port of these admittedly somewhat obscure games?
I'm afraid to say that a quick search for them doesn't yield much. They seem to be a new company; the blurb about them that accompanied the press release for Creatures on Steam simply says 'Critter Consortium is a new indie label set up with the aim of bringing old, beloved franchises to Steam - starting with the Creatures series.'
They don't have a website, but they do have accounts on Twitter and Facebook, although the latter requires a FB account to view. The Twitter account is just a series of press releases and updates on the Creatures games, with very little information on the company itself.
Unfortunately, this is the most I can find on this company as someone 'on the outside', as it were.
