Jamella, a completely normal looking norn. I was running an average C3 world with a community of treehuggers. I don't exactly know what I planned to happen, but I was just having fun with my norns. Eventually there were far too many females and only one male left. He, sadly, passed away before procreating. Now I was left with a ship full of females, not wanting the community to die off I decided I would splice two females, hoping to obtain a male. I put one female in the left splice pod and picked an older, adult female named Jamella for the left pod. I carried her over like I would any other norn and clicked the pod to put her in it. Suddenly the screen glitched and Jamella was standing there like nothing had happened. The right pod had disappeared. I tried everything but the right pod was no longer there, thus there could be no more splicing in this world. To add to the weirdness, I could not lead or pick up Jamella, she was immune to the hand in everyway! So I exported her, deleted the world and put a copy of her into another. She is still immune to the hand o_O
I was just wondering about anybody elses weird norn tales. I'm sure you all have plenty, I would love to hear them!

I think something of a similar nature happened to me before... all I remember is one of the pods vanishing.

There was one time in C2 where I had a pair of breeders that were essentially dominating Albia with their genes. No other pair would breed -- it was amusing and frustrating all at once. After the female died relatively young (I believe due to ingesting a deathcap), Gabriel became a wanderer and traveled about the world. Eventually, though, old age overcame him and he got the telltale stars floating above his head... but for the life of him, he wouldn't die. He was seriously stuck with those stars over his head for an hour or so. Maybe he desperately wanted to stay and watch his children and grandchildren, or maybe the clerks in charge of Silicon Heaven's paperwork were ruthlessly inefficient, but for whatever reason, he just... hung on.

Did you check to see if you had holodoc running. I don't know if you downloaded it but it can make norns linger longer then normal.

A norn that killed a splicer pod? Sounds like it used a pose which made it too big for the splicing chamber. The hitbox of norns changes depending on age and pose. When it becomes too big for the container it is in, said container is autokilled.

Lets play plants! Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis...
