What's you're favorite Creatures Game and why? (not sure if someone has done this before but I could not find it on the forums) personally I prefer the classic Creatures 1 everything about it is great the gameplay allowed an intimate connection (the other games to)with the norns something no ever game has done before I actually cried the first time my norn died not to mention the graphics had a cozy but not overly childish feeling to them that the other games seem to lack just my opinion |

Aww... I get sad whenever one of my norns die... I havn't played creatures 1 or 2 much yet, and I dont think any of my norns have died yet on creatures 1. Ok now my favorite game would be.... Um... Lol I really cant choose xD I love them all! I wil have to think about it some more and see witch on I like best. I seem to play docking station or creatures 3 the most. They are the easy ones to play for me xD I think I will start play creatures 1 and 2 more. Wow I dont thing I have ever ritten this much in a post xD EDIT: Oh! I think Docking Station is my favorite, though Creatures 1 is a close second. |

I always liked Creatures 2 the best. I liked that the norns couldn't be drug around by the hand and they seemed more independent. I also liked many of the 3rd-party breeds such as mernorns, kai norns, butterfly norns, etc.- Rascii |

I like every single one pretty equally, Creatures 1 is a nice world that I might just like to live in (If i got to keep my belongings ![[nwink]](/images/smilies/emot_wink.gif "[nwink]") ) Creatures 2 is a very beautiful world and I love some of the ambient songs that play. Creatures 3 has some nice terrariums and I absolutely love the four ettin desert songs. Docking station the music makes me feel lonely but the game gives you huge control over your creatures and their world greatly enhancing the sandbox feel. Creatures 4 looks rather nice and there are many objects that will just look plain cute when norns interact with them (Like the nornblower). |

The C1 world has the most natural and rough feel to it, but when I play it (or rather c12DS) I miss the lower areas from C2. The C1 norns are my definite favourites, as the species seem to have gotten more generic with each new game in the series, while the C1 norns, and to a certain, but lesser extent, the C2 norns look more diverse and inspiring to play with. The C3/DS breeds tend to be more or less recoloured versions of each other, with different patterns and hairstyles, but the same shapes, same ears, same mouths, same noses, same eyes with the same eyelids (which are too obviously made too thick in a too obvious 3d rendering program, making them look unnatural and out of place) while in C2 and even more in C1, each norn race has unique features all over, both in shapes, sizes and colours. I do, however enjoy the colour depth and engine possibilities that comes with DS - especially the great variety of third party addons, and most of all, the warp. In the end, all games have their positive sides. With C4 I'll probably still miss Albia, but the world screenshots I've seen this far makes me believe that I'll love Sphericus as well. |

It's actually probably C3 standalone, but I never play that any more. Very easy, customizable, almost no bugs and the world is pretty and relaxing to look at. |

My favourites are C1 and C2 because I'm a sucker for nostalgia, and the graphics are just really pretty. I also prefer the having the Kits and such. The earlier games have a more hands-on approach when it comes to caring for your Norns, I think! Everything feels more challenging. |

C2 was the one i was first introduced to, and i fell in love with it. I played C3 lots too, but the style of C2 was perfect for me. I never liked the shiney, plasticy look of the c3 norns as much. |

I enjoy all the Creatures games, but I'll always enjoy Creatures 2 the most, despite the OHSS. I can't believe how much the series changed with C3. |

I don't know that I ever gave C2 a far chance either. I just love the first and third so much that I haven't gone back, haha. I play Docking Station/Creatures 3 with C1toDS attached so I can get all of my fixes at once! I tinker with breeding more in C3, but only because I love the gizmo norn genome and its possibilities. C1 will always hold a special place in my heart since I picked the game up when I was about twelve (it had just come out when you could still rent computer games from video stores). So, no solid answer on that one.. I want to create a C3 breed someday.. Formally defectiveminx. |
