The Albian Awards for metarooms The Bibble Awards for websites The Golden Carrot Awards for agents The Silver Hand Awards for notable contributions The Bronze Shee Awards for breeds Please be sure to name a Creatures Community member under each of these categories. Including their specific contribution is optional. And remember, your choice can come from any time in the community's history. If you don't know the name of the creator in question then the contribution/project name will suffice. Please decide carefully, as you only have one vote! The Awards close on Febuary 1 at 2359 GMT. As long as we call it the "Unofficial Golden Shee Awards", or maybe the "Bronze Shee Awards", or something to that effect, I think it would be fine.  But I admit this was all before I was an active part of the community, so I know little about it--what exactly were the awards like? Some kind of badge or certificate to put in a signature/web page?  |

If I remember correctly, CL posted a list of some of the most popular web sites in the community and the fanbase was polled to see which one was their favorite. The top three choices won awards and got a spinning trophy GIF to put on their web site. I think mirrors of Frimlin's old site still show his award. ETA: Oh, wait, you can see the award here. I never understood why they called it the Golden Shee Award, it's a Norn in the Gif after all. But I think that an Unnofficial Golden Shee would be a great idea, it should help improve community spirit, and that is always good. Albia Volcanis -Updated 23/2 |

One word: Yes! I'm behind pretty much any project or event that brings the community together. I vaguely recognize the spinning Norn trophy... But I feel like it was before my time. I agree with the idea of coming up with a unique name for the awards! Perhaps a tribute could be included, along the lines of "inspired by the Golden Shee Awards" or something else. I would be very interested to see how this idea evolves! |

I'd be happy to contribute graphics for it. I don't have a C1 Norn model, but I do have a C3-ish Norn that would work pretty well. I also kind of like the name "The Golden Carrot Award", but that's mostly for the play on words.  |

Thanks for posting! What an adorable little image: I can't help but notice how the Norn looks like a Brown Mouse/Banana Norn with a White Haired Pixie Norn tail! Looks like he's either reaching out to shake someone's hand, or attempting to give a little thumbs up sign! Very cute! |

I'd be happy to make a nice animated gif for it. Think something like this might work? Of course, we'd have to decide what it's going to be called before anybody can go about modeling it. Albian Awards? Bibble Awards? Bronze Shee Awards? Golden Carrot Awards? ...something else? |

Ghosthande I love it. Very nice? So what is the general concensus on a name? I l really like the carrot idea! I have sorted a news post too... hopefully we can get some more opinions... I am thinking for this a cc wide vote? By a survey that way the results would remain confidential. What do you think... I was also thinking of doing a montage video of the winners! Go Pern! |

You know what would be a really good idea? Make it an agent. A toy, when pushed it spun or glittered, the catalogue file stated who it had been written for, and why, and it was given to them to do what they wanted with. |

Slightly off-topic, but I think a good idea for an award would be a Member of the week award, where everyone chooses who has made the most contributions to the community in the entire week. |

I don't really think it needs to be made into an agent. If it's an agent it will only exist in their game, where only they will see it. At least a graphic can be displayed on a web site or something. Plus, exclusive downloads are usually very frustrating for the people who don't have them. IMHO it's probably better to keep it simple and fun as a graphical award. But you know, we could have multiple awards. People contribute so many things to the CC--agents, metarooms, breeds, web sites--it wouldn't hurt to spread it out a bit. Maybe something like, Albian Awards for metarooms Bibble Awards for web sites Bronze Shee Awards for breeds Golden Carrot Awards for agents Although it would mean more work, it would also mean more diversity and more opportunities for different people to get prizes, since there would be four specific kinds instead of just lumping all the categories under one. What do you guys think? Good idea? Or too complicated? |

I agree, I'd like to see first/second/third place for the categories. (Hmm, I have a feeling that might preclude the Platinum Shee Awards idea, unless the metals used for first/second/third place were not the standard gold/silver/bronze.) What should the appearance of each trophy look like? The Golden Carrot trophy model already has a Norn holding a carrot, but what about the other three trophies? I think it would be cool if the Albian Awards replicated the "Atlas Norn" graphic from the old Creatures Labs fanfiction library (if anyone knows where I can find that graphic, do please let me know--I thought I had it saved on my computer but can't find it at all). What about the Bibble Awards or the Bronze (Platinum?) Shee Awards? |

Yes for the Shee Awards it should be something that is an example of the shees miraculous abilitys at engineering and bio technology. I think Ddna would be cool. EDIT: So how about a umbrella name for the whole thing e.g The Creatures Community Spirit Awards? CCSA? Go Pern! |

The Silver Hand Award... For exceptional contributions to the culture and spirit of the creatures community through contributing to websites, creating fanworks (art, stories, blogs), doing something notable, etc. Also I think each category of awards could be awarded to more than one person but without 1st 2nd and 3rd as i dont think its necessary to create league tables.
