Happy new year everyone!
I don't make new year resolutions, but I will say my goal this year is to finally finish that story I've been plotting since they days of Creatures 1.
You have to be honest with yourself when you are writing. If that leads to somewhere unexpected then perhaps you really needed to go there.

Happy new year everyone! My resolutions are:
1. Save more and spend less.
2. Have a more positive outlook - 2010 is going to be better than 2009!
3. Go back to finish university in September. |

1) maintain my relentless optimism.
2) quit smoking! i've set a date for this, january 13th.
3) stop eating meat- beef especially.
4) be a better friend and a better daughter- spend less time talking and more time listening to the people around me.
not too hard, i don't think. except for smoking. yikes, wish me luck!

I don't make really any resolutions. This year I have one, but won't tell anybody.
@ christine: Stopping to eat meat isn't really a good idea. Humans are omnivore like pigs or ravens. Humans need the proteins in meat.
But with the smoking you get my full support. Stop the killing and burning of innocent plants!

LOL.
You're right about the protein though. There are other sources of protein out there, but you still have to be pretty careful because the human body isn't built to just "go without" the nutrients it normally gets from meat--which includes more than just protein. There's more to not eating meat than just not eating meat.
I'm hoping to become a (quasi-)vegetarian at some point--I've just been a meat lover so long I'm taking it slowly. I've already sworn off calamari, pork (in most circumstances) and lunchmeat, at least. But there are a few things I don't intend to ever stop eating, like scallops or venison.
As for resolutions, I'd have to say
1) Get a job
2) Get a (better) place to live
3) Finish at least some of my C3/DS projects (KT patch, I'm looking at you!)

My New Year's resolutions are many but I will write some of them here:
1.) Properly FINISH at least one of the Creatures fanfictions I started. XD
2.) Write more and draw more so I can improve.
3.) Become healthier and have more energy.
4.) Spend more time with the people I care about.
5.) Make some new friends and don't lose the ones I have.
I'm back again after being away a handful of years. 2026 Revamp, Baby! |

Now I'm thinking I should've made a resolution not to make any resolutions. Why did I make a resolution to "Save more and spend less" during the January sales!? |

ANDIO GET STARTED ON THE FIRST ONE NOW K!
actually i might be heading down to see you some time soon. cause it's too cold here, for reals.
at the protein concerned people- i was a vegetarian for most of my teen years, and now eat mostly veg, but i feel like i consume far too much beef and chicken for my own comfort. fish is sticking around my diet for the time being, though. i think if we all educated ourselves more on alternate sources of protein, our planet and our bodies would be a lot healthier... not to proselytize, but here is a distressing article from the UN about the effects of the cattle industry on our little blue dot. cutting beef out of your diet (even while keeping everything else exactly the same!) is one of the most health- and earth-conscious things you can do on a personal level. we may be omnivores, but we certainly weren't meant to consume nearly as much meat as we do!
</soapbox>
(PS... if anyone wants to debate vegetarianism further, maybe we should make another topic? sorry i already dragged this thread wholly off topic... let's hear some more reolutions!)

Well, 3 days later, and wow I haven't seen this site since LAST YEAR!!
lol.
My resolution was simply to do my best at aimung to my goal of having and using Mexican or Spanish Fighting bulls here, in WA, and making money and pleasure out of it.
Of course some others that tie in with that are to exercise as much as I used to a couple years ago, to do more artwork, and to work as hard as I can for the things I really love and/or want in life.
