So, I was spurred to get back to playing by noticing the GoG re-release, and it got me wondering about the old Creatures Labs pay-for breeds, treehugger and toxics and hardmans. Last I looked, Gameware's store seems to be down. There any way I can still get those in a way that will show the world that I want to buy this stuff?

Well, I'm not sure if anyone's tried fronting up to Gameware's RL offices with money burning a hole in their pocket yet... :/

Their contact page indicates Cambridge. ;) Perhaps BYO CD/thumbdrives?

A boat, maybe? I mean, I suppose you could *swim* the channel, but it'd be mighty cold at the moment... ;)

To get the breeds you should read the bit in the "New Users: Read This First" topic about no illegal sharing of software including the Norn Packs.

Sorry Papriko, but piracy is a no-no on these forums.

I know it sucks, but currently the Norn Packs are simply unavailable. CLabs still owns them and might still consider selling them in the future.

It is very possible that they might decide to release them eventually in the same spirit as the release of the Creatures series on GoodOldGames.com. Let's hope for that.

The rules of copyright might seem unfair at times like these, but they are also there to protect a lot of smaller companies and people that really need these guidelines in order to defend themselves from piracy.

Oh no, I never was considering piracy. I like Creatures Labs too much to do that, even if they probably would no longer be affected. Maye I'll try sending Gameware an email...

No worries Odul, I was referring to Papriko's original post. I should've been clearer about it. :)
Sending an email to Gameware is a good idea, to show them people are still interested.

Huzzah! Email sent! Whoever else doesn't have them should send an email too. Maybe. Not sure if they'd feel like putting back up the mall. Not sure what else they had besides Creatures stuff.

Well, I suppose an email would be an acceptable alternative to fronting up to their office, the waters of the channel in your hair, your pockets full of burning money.... ;)
