I remember, long ago, on the Gameware Forum (*long obligatory silence here*) there was a topic about what we would want to see in an advanced 3D Creatures game. So I wanted to see if we could get such speculation started here.
So, what would you want to see in an advanced creatures game.
Me? I'd like to see dominant vs recessive genes, as well as other, non Mendelian forms of inheritance. I'd like to see more complexity in how norns learn from their environment, and a looser volcabulary (in other words, instead of having a set name for each object, like in C3/DS, norns would look at the object and associate it with a certain word, like in C1/C2. While this was a highly annoying feature of the early games for some people, it would allow personal language to develop between creatures.)
Plus, I'd like it if all the objects could be adjusted and used as according to the laws of physics. A tree could be cut down with "sharp object", then burned with "owie object", or it would eventually be hollowed out by bacteria and provide shelter for norns. Just by dent of this adds the slight possibility of tool using, maybe even the building of permanent shelters. Or the creatures could just throw rocks at each other.
Post your ideas!

Wow. that wouldn't even take much memory. (okay, around 70 GB,but still, not too long ago it'd take almost a terrabyte.) But I'd like to see some norns practically worshipping the hand, some hating it and other degrees of like and dislike.

...Creatures is more of a pc game. anything else would ruin the customization, atmosphere, and generally everything.

Actually, a Wii compatible game for creatures 3D might not be a terrible idea. I'm not very familiar with the Wii, but what I think it basically is a computer with a wireless mouse. Still, there's the graphics problem.
And there are non PC versions of creatures. Though they're terrible.

I'd like Norns to have more poses, instead of kind of looking like boards with limbs, cute boards with limbs, but still boards with limbs. They need to move more freely and flowing. And KC, it is a good to be able to make shelters out of trees and such, that would make the game more interesting. |

I already said it on CT: WAY more stuff for experiments and such. An example my DS Egg Lab: Portable Egglayer, Inseminator, Egg Hatcher and Eggernator.
When it is really 3D I would appreciate a text-only mode for Wolf Runs.

Made so it can run on Mac at least as well as it works on PC. |

Multiple difficulties:
Easy: it's all sandbox
Normal: same as easy except pickups need to be activated
Hard: Egg Layer disabled, rely on six eggs like C1, Grettin switch off, otherwise identical to Normal
Brutal: Unlockable, two eggs, lots of Garbage Banshee Grendels everywhere, Some pickups disabled entirely (like carry creatures & grettin selection)
EDIT: Game Modes: All game mode/difficulty combinations possible!
Normal/Sandbox: Self explanatory
Survival: Choose a breeding pair and last for as long as you can
Extinction: Similar to "full game" in SimAnt, Choose a creature species and kill off the other two
Mission: Do preset missions with specific mission objectives. Completing all missions unlocks Brutal difficulty

Huh, Wiimeiser that's a really cool idea. Lol I can only imagine how much memory this game would take to run (Maybe this should be a game "Make up your own ideas for the would-be Creatures 4" ) |

Actually stuff like that is common in games today. It wouldn't be hard.

more complex evolution than colors would be nice. maybe chalenge mode where norns have to get food from deep hole and have to evolve longer arms
in the spring you gotta let the flowers fully blossom

KC11, if you'd like to teach your C3/DS norns language like you could in C1 or C2, get Vampess's Teaching Update.
I'd like to see blending of the physical features in norns and grendels...

An improved ability to distinguish objects would be nice. Creatures should at least be able to distinguish objects at the species level, even if they can't distinguish them individually.
And Norns that learn to speak from each other. Like if a Norn hears another Norn say something incorrectly, they'll correct them, and the other Norn will learn from it just like they would if the Hand were correcting them.
