Opening the floodgates.
What kind of music do you like?

I have an eclectic taste, so I'll listen to any music genre if I like the song. Though currently I particularly enjoy rock, alternative, and some classical. One extreme to the other I guess! |

I must confess to being a bit of a poppette, though lately I've been dabbling in riot grrrl (which I gather is punk by women). One of my girlfriends who's a dance freak reckons I listen to way too many girl bands, but that's just because she doesn't know about my secret crush on X from band Y.

You can name artists guys
I like new artists
I like sounds. Trance, downtempo, drum'n'bass, ____step, rock if it's good, overblown epic orchestra if it's not.
I have a weakness for bass. Don't like crappy electronica that's just a bunch of loops laid over each other.
Re: Am I for clicks and bass
Rotundus Maximus for lol epic
God is God for ... well, it's not really trance

I would give you some YouTube links but the majority of you would not understand the songs. I like to understand them after the first or second listening, so it's mostly German XD
If you're still interested, look on YouTube for: Schandmaul, OOMPH!, E Nomine, Subway to Sally and maybe Rammstein.

@ Starscream: that sounded much like sarcasm. Was it really so? Hard to say through a LCD Screen.

Gryph dear, there was a reason why I didn't name my old crush X from band Y.... I think I was eight. Le Tigre and Hole, of the riot grrl bands I've been listening to so far are the 'gateway' riot grrls from my pop taste, (of course, it helped that Hole charted when I was younger) but Bikini Kill's songs, which are quite unlike my usual, are beginning to grow on me. Gryph, would you say that you're Addicted to Bass?
One of my kiddilinks likes Rammstein, which I'm a bit uneasy about - I just remember them as being a very angry kind of a band? I only really know them from "du hass mich". I have no freaking idea about any subgenres of metal.
In classical music, I don't really like fussy music, so a great deal of Mozart is just not my thing - give me Bach or Beethoven any day!

Hmm, I like indie stuff, and rock/metal. Jon Foreman is a personal favorite right now. And I like Red, Falling Up, Skillet, and Thousand Foot Krutch. I may post more as I think of it.

I like a lot of songs, but I seem to prefer slow and sad. Some of the bands/singers I like are Amy Winehouse, Placebo, Green Day, Dido, Dixie Chicks, Snow Patrol and various others. As you can see, I don't really have a favorite genre.

I don't have a favorite genre either. In fact I don't even have favorite bands per se. It's just individual songs I like, and I'm sure I have at least one for nearly every genre out there, even genres I'm not too fond of otherwise.

Anyone heard of No Torso? Its a Norwegian Ska band that I heard live. I really like them at the concert, but the CD wasn't too good. But they all wore funky hats and had a really awesome brass section to the band!
