((Hi! I'm not sure where this really belongs but it is to do with the Creatures game in general so - I think it goes here...maybe. XD))
Anyway, I was thinking of what would be some fun, cute agents to have in my game that haven't been made yet and I came up with some ideas. Kind of based off the C1 shower but here it is:
A shower and a beauty pack!
*Shower - makes creatures relaxed and happy and 'cleans' them of any germs or bacteria they may have. Has a falling water sound. Smells like water and is based off the C1 shower but with different images. Turn it on and it has sound and effect. Turn it off and it does nothing. It reduces negative feelings and increases positive ones. It provides a little amount of antibacterial spray, antibodies and antihistamines. Creatures can say ?La la la laa!?
*Shampoo - when pushed this agent makes creatures ?clean?, relaxed and gives small amounts of nutrients and vitamins. It makes them say ?Me like being pretty!? Smells like fruit and flowers. It adds small amounts of vitamins C and E and prostaglandin to creatures. (Imagine a Grendel saying "Me like being pretty!" Hee hee)
*Conditioner when pushed makes them ?clean? and less bored, gives them minerals and makes them smell like flowers and fruit. Creatures can say ?Ooh, my coat is so shiny!? It adds protein, increases loneliness a bit and has the smell of flowers and fruit. It reduces all stressful, bored and angry feelings. It adds a little life chemical.
*Comb is a toy item. It ?chases? creatures, doing a brushing motion from top to bottom and makes them happy, really reduces boredom and makes them in a good mood. Creatures can say ?No more tangles!? It has a ?tickling? effect like when the hand scratches a creature. It brushes from top to bottom of the creature, like the paintbrush toy motion. It really increases happiness a lot and pushes down all negative feelings. It has a brushing sound.
I know they are really all similar because I haven't figured out yet what attributes I want to put specifically into each agent. But I thought they would be fun. ^_^ I have no idea how to make them though or even if you can do some of the things I described. I have to read through some more stuff in the development forum and try to get my head around it. But if anyone wants to use this idea and make the agents then please go ahead! Just say the original concept was from me, SpringRain and make sure they are always free to download and then I will be smiling. Lol.

“No more tangles!”
LOL. I would volunteer my CAOSing abilities simply for that.

Very good ideas! They are a nice opposite to my "Lunatic Laboratory Agents"-ideas. ^^

Aw, thanks guys! .^_^. Lol.
I was reading through the CAOS/development forum tutorials and stuff last night, trying to understand more about agent creation, what sort of things you need to make them and also what may or may not be possible. It's really fascinating. I came to the conclusion that probably all of my ideas would be possible to make. I just need to figure out how! Ha ha! I have no idea what that 'lightwave' thing is in the CDN tutorial.

From what I remember it's a 3D graphics program. Not really necessary, I guess that's what the official art was made with but there are other programs out there, and sprites don't have to be 3D to look nice.
I would still definitely be willing to contribute if you do want it to be 3D, since I've got two different 3D programs and am always looking for another excuse to use them. What you've described doesn't sound all that hard to make.

Yeah, 3D programs are advantages, but not important for making sprites. You can also use a graphical program (I for example have Gimp, others tell me only good about Adobe Paint Shop. They have filters and such which you can also use for shading and make a 3d-ish look).
There were also a lot of agents and breeds which were only created in Paint! The choice is by you.

Ah okay, thank you for the explanation. I was getting kind of confused. Lol.
Also, that would be really great if you wanted to help out, Ghosthande! ^_^ I have to say though...I don't know very much about making agents yet. I did do the 'Charles the Cheese' tutorial on here with my friend. We had a lot of fun making him really 'bouncy' and pinging him all over the DS ship. XD
In the absence of any good paint programs or 3D programs whatsoever...can you really do agents in MS Paint?! Sounds like fun. Well, if I go off and draw some sketches then maybe I can work out what to do from there...
I'll post the sketches up when they're done.

How about we remake all the DS agents with connectors?
More specifically, vendors, doors, lift buttons, the portable teleporters and transporter in the workshop, and the umbilical.

Then you also had to change all the sprite files for those agents.
Or you make a shared connection port sprite, but then would all agents, which use it, autokill when it misses for any reason.
You also had to change all the cosfiles by hand. Adding a new connection port and then code for each agent how it should work. I am not that familar with CAOS, but I think there is no "all-in-one"-script you can simply add.

It IS possible to use sprites from different files for the same object, if it is a compound object--and doors and such generally aren't, so you'd be doing more than just adding code to everything.
Theoretically you could start with a "port template" and paste it into all of them, but you'd still have to tailor it to work for each individual agent... which would still be a ton of work.

Still working on ideas. I have come up with a squiggly, sort of see-through shower entwined with a flowering vine and two panel type 'thingees' for the hot/cold water. (really the on/off buttons).
