Good god! I'm so sorry for not updating in a while. I was taken on a surprise trip, so I couldn't access my files.
I'll update this evening. And guess what! We have only one first-generation Norn left. We'll find out who it is!
Malkin: Yes, only angel and Ghosthande were left. We now have a sole survivor.
Epaeris: So do I. XD They're fun to write.
Ghosthande: Really? x3 That's awesome. When the last first-generation Norn dies, the top three survivors can each choose one of the second, third, or fourth-generation Norns they would like to see up for download here on Creatures Caves--including you, Officer-1BDI, and angel51431.
Officer-1BDI: I'm sorry. But she made it into the final three! And when a Norn picks up an egg, it's just left there. I won't interfere if they start using them as volleyballs, I'm afraid.
Anywho, I'll update this evening. Stay tuned for one of the last updates for the Forum Feral Run!
Epic Edit: Here's the next update in the Forum Feral Run.
And, once again, we have three new births for the "E" generation... but at a cost. We've had four deaths. One is Alvar, one is Bianca, another is Cypselus... and the last is one of the first-generation Norns. Which one? Just read on to find out! Or you can cheat and look at the bottom of this update. Whichever you prefer.

Esmerelda, the daughter of Cenobia and Alvar (deceased), is 2 hours and 32 minutes old. She seems to be socializing with her mother right now. They're both hungry and neither of them seem to notice the fruit dispensor convieniently placed right next to them. Norns never fail to astound me.

Ember is a whopping 2 hours and 57 minutes old, the daughter of Cenobia and Cypselus (deceased). She's bored to death, but at least she's eating... unlike SOME Norns I know. *cough*Esmerelda*cough* I'll be watching you.

Edelstein is exactly one hour old and the progeny of Esmerelda and Decimus. He appears to be more tired than hungry, so I don't think staring at a triffid plant will solve his need for sleep.
Most of the other Norns are doing all right.

Beauregard is 4 hours and 31 minutes old and still in good shape for the run. He's old and experienced... and seems to be occupying Blue's (angel51431's) space now. Whatever "bab" he's trying to "push," I suggest it runs. Beauregard has the eye of the tiger, does he not?

Decimus is getting old and weary in the hot and uncaring desert. His eyelids are drooping, his limbs are growing creaky... and there he is, like any other Norn, proclaiming his needs and not doing anything about it. What a shock.

Boadicea has been roughing it out in the volcano for hours now. Although she seems to have taken a liking to the local Grendel, she has also begun following the wallbonking trend. At least the Grendel is trying to be nice by lending her some advice, but I guess those speech lessons from Speedy the Doozer didn't help much.
AND NOW, we're about to see the very last first-generation Norn standing. Everyone, please give a hand to......
*drumroll*

Ghosthande!!! Congratulations! At almost 7 hours of age, he has outlived all the other nine Norns originally entered in the Feral Run. There he is with Charity keeping him company under the treehouse.
...And that's all for now, everybody! I was wondering; do you want me to continue the Run until Ghosthande passes away, to see if any new Norns will come up? I was thinking that the people with the best three survivors could each choose a Norn they would like to put up for download here at Creatures Caves. Those people are...
Officer 1BDI
angel51431
Ghosthande
...if they want to choose a Norn. But, if you guys want, I can run it a little longer to see if we can get any more creatures for you to choose from. That's entirely up to you.
So, for perhaps the final time... *clears throat*
Will the Feral Run end here? Will three lucky Norns be chosen to be downloadable for Creatures Caves or will the run comence? And why won't anyone tell Dreamnorn why the bilberries float in several of these pictures? We'll find out next time I post for the Forum Feral Run! G'bye!
I really need to stop doing those stupid monologues. >> <<

Congrats, Ghosthande!
Ooh, I get to choose a norn to have uploaded? Hmm... I pick Cenobia, if she's still around.
Thanks for hosting this, Dream. It was really fun reading your updates.
You have to be honest with yourself when you are writing. If that leads to somewhere unexpected then perhaps you really needed to go there.

Wow! That's really amazing. And to think I only picked an El Dorado because I thought they were pretty. XD
Out of the surviving offspring, I'd have to pick Decimus. He definitely impresses me more than Charity or Boadicea! Although it's too bad we can't have any of the first-gen's. Ghosthande has been alive seven hours and had, what, seven offspring? That's one lucky Norn.
And yes, like Officer said, thank you for hosting it! This was a great run. Almost funner than actually playing the game...

I'm not gonna be around for a few days, so if i were to choose a norn, I'd choose Ember.
Heh congrats Ghosthande This was more entertaining that i expected. Thanks for running it, Dreamnorn.
Yes, I'm the forum ... Any questions?

Aww, shucks. XD Stop complementing me or I'll get a big fat head.
The Feral Run was actually a lot of fun to host, too. I'm thinking of doing another one in early July or something. I'm so glad that the Feral Run was entertaining to all of us!
Okay, so...
Officer-1BDI chose Cenobia
angel51431 chose Ember
Ghosthande chose Decimus
...all those lucky Norns will be put up for download. Unfortunately, I've never put a Norn up for download anywhere before... I believe that some help would be nice.
Thank you all for watching and participating!

It's still wrong in my book and it's still slang.

Whether you think it's "wrong" or not doesn't affect my right use it, just as the fact that I occasionally misspell things isn't an excuse for you to correct me for it. Other people have a right to post what they want to as well, regardless of whether you agree with it, or even whether they're right. Or would you like someone to jump in and correct you every time you make a mistake, or simply say something they don't agree with?

It was a joke. Don't take everything seriously or you will have a very sorry life, Ghosthande. And I seem to remember you having this talk with me. If I had known that you were insulted I would have stopped. I'm sorry for correcting you and I will not do it again. |

Don't explode for each little joke, Ghosthande. It was pretty clear that Epaeris only made a joke. If he really would correct everybody who makes a mistake, he had to run after me all the time. And does he do that? No. The smileys he used are another hint that it was only a joke.
Chill out Ghosthande, chill out. Some more sense for humor would not harm you...

Yup, you're definitely banned for letting me die.
I'm so sad that I haven't been following it closer. But I'm all caught up now! Awesome job, Dreamnorn! I love the pictures/captions of everything happening.

I agree You have a great way telling everyone what's happening Dreamnorn, what an epic Feral Run. I just wished I'd had been around to join in! I think I might have to sign up for the next one. |

W-wow. It's amazing, hearing all these complements from you guys. I look up to you all. *staggers*
I may need some help finding where to upload a Norn for download, though.
EDIT: I've tried everything. Everything. I just can't find on this darn piece of hardware where to compress the export files into ZIPs. The pictures have been converted to JPEGs easily, but I just can't find out where to ZIP a file. I checked the first three pages of Google for help. Nothing. Heck, I even tried sending them to my newer computer and tried zipping them there, but to no avail.
I'm so sorry, guys, but I don't think that we'll see these Norns up for download anytime soon. I feel like a jerk now, since I said that I would post them up. *kicks self*
I'll keep trying, but at the rate it's going, Ember, Decimus, and Cenobia will be up for download by the time my next Feral Run stops. ;A; Please forgive me for this inconvenience.
