It's been a while since I've attempted to do a public Wolfling Run (considering I failed miserably at my last attempt). However, all the recent public WRs have motivated me enough to try it one more time.
The basic gist of this wolfling run is that it takes place entirely on the Shee Ark's bridge/corridor/Engineering. Most of the food is stored within vendors, but there's some potted plants scattered about, plus the Botanoid and Chyme Plants.
The stars of the WR will all be norns, but the norns will have to share the ship with a pair of grendels. Thankfully, said grendels will not be openly aggressive, but that's not to say they won't attack norns if they get harassed enough.
Iinstead of trying to take pictures and post updates here, I plan on televising it. That is, when I begin the Wolfling Run, I'll record it and then upload it to Youtube. Each part of the WR will be about an hour in length (with the probable exception of the final part, which is likely to be shorter).
Finally, there's more than bragging rights to be gained fro winning this WR: the sponsor of the lucky winner gets an in-game version of their Creatchi (if they have one)! By that, I mean a creature much like Carla here.
If you don't have a Creatchi, you can still participate. I'll come up with some form of alternate reward.
There's 10 spots open for this Wolfling Run. You can either submit your own norn, or I can hatch one for you from the following breeds:
I really want to hold back... But I can't resist! It's just too much fun entering these and watching what happens. Could I claim a male Jungle Norn named Gizmo? Thank you!
I was going to pester you to post here, but since Chell popped up before Hawk posted, I decided to stick with listing submissions in chronological order.
Boy, slots are filling up fast. Only one left!
As a note, it'll be a while before I actually start this thing. I have one last assignment that needs done this week, and next week is finals. I'll probably start the run next Friday (as that's the day after my last final).
Knowing what I now know about paradox norns, I'm not sure Chell 2.0 should be allowed to participate in the run. Everything would be fine so long as she and her descendants didn't run into any bacteria, but if they did, you'd essentially have a zombie norn on you r hands, unable to die unless something beat her to death.
Therefore, I'd like to withdraw and give my slot to Lillynorn.
A test video for the style of recording I'm planning on using for the WR. Hopefully the quality will be less spotty for the actual videos. No, there won't be non-Creatures music playing for the WR unless people really want it.
That's odd - I'm from the same country as you two and I've never had that problem. This video in particular doesn't even have any third-party content matching....
Never mind. I'll record another attempt without the music this time.
Edit: Second attempt should be up now (though it was still processing last time I checked).
Seems to work now. Youtube has been going on heavy "PURGE ALL COPYRIGHT INFRINGERS!" binges for the past couple of months, so I'm not surprised that the first attempt was yanked offline. <.<
From the depths of Deep Lurkspace I emerge... And suddenly can't remember what it is I came up for.
Unfortunately, I don't think I'm going to get the WR started today - I still need to make the grendels (this very same problem plagued my Devil's Reef run; I hope it doesn't turn into a repeat). It's also after 9 PM where I'm at, and if I can pull myself away from Cracked long enough to do anything, it will be to work on an obligation I have to another forum.
As such, I'm kicking the start date to Monday (May 20).
Just in case you missed my bibble, I've recorded the first leg of the wolfling run and am currently uploading it to Youtube (or attempting to, anyway - I probably should have gone with a shorter time division than ~1 hour).
Since it's probably going to be a while before it gets uploaded, here are the most notable occurrences of part 1:
*Richard is the first norn to die (at adolescence for unknown reasons)
*Debbie and 21 have the first baby of the Wolfling Run
*Ricohet and 21 have the second baby of the Wolfling Run
*Kessu and Azzanadra have the third baby of the Wolfling Run
*Clarisse decided to harass the grendels since they won't come to her. She's already killed one grendel.
And the first video of the run has been uploaded and is currently watchable!
The first part's rather boring, admittedly - the grendels are much more placid than I expected them to be, and I think I might have overdone it on the food sources. Other than Richard's death and Clarisse's antics, there's not much to show.
