Creatures Caves

Hello everyone.

I am setting up a community wolfing run, scheduled for tomorrow (Sunday, May 5th), at 9 am GMT, which will run until 12 midnight.

This wolfing run will be a bit unusual in that there is a theme involved. You see, the Capillata has crash landed on an alien planet, many meters below the sea. The goal of the run is not only to survive, but also for each creature to pass on it's genetics to the next generation.

The run will take place aboard the Capillata, with the following metarooms installed: Devils Reef, Nornhulu, Aquatillis Pod, and The Hub. All of the rooms have been connected via Hub Doors, and the proper CA links have been created where needed. There is also a selection of dispensers, potted fruit and seed plants, toys, and potions available for creatures to sample as they please.

With this theme in mind, there is a point system involved. A creature will receive 1 point for advancing to the next life stage. 3 points will be awarded each time it successfully breeds with another creature. Finally, a creature will be awarded 5 points if it manages to successfully reach old age. At the end of the run, the points for each generation of each lineage of creatures will be tallied together, and the winner will be the forumite with the highest score.

Unfortunately, there is no prize associated with winning. You'll have to make do with bragging rights.

This will be a 'hands off' wolfing run with one exception: If I notice a creature suffering 'Eat Elevator syndrome', I will attempt to break it out of it's stupor. I will not, however, be assisting the creatures in any other form or fashion.

Also, to make things a little more interesting, each creature will be starting the run in a random metaroom. The starting rooms will be decided with via the die roller with one 10 sided die. The room assignments will be as follows:

1: Meso
2: Aquatillis
3: Capillata Hub
4: Coms
5: Workshop
6: The Hub
7: Nornhulu upper level (dry)
8: Nornhulu lower level (wet)
9: Devil's Reef
10: Roll again

There will be eight slots open in this run. If you wish to participate, you may choose to either post an adoption or I can hatch a creature for you. Norns entered via adoption must be no older than 0 minutes. Also be aware that amphibious creatures will have a distinct (and obvious) advantage here.

A note on breed selection: I have the following aquatic and amphibious breeds installed at this time,

If your favorite breed of creature is not on the list, not available in the Creatures Caves downloads section, and you are not able to PM me a link to the breed, then please select another breed of creature.

Finally, when you enter, please specify a design that will identify your creature's lineage. All creatures descended from your initial submission will share the same design, and will be displayed using Amaikokonut's Magic Words: Marks utility.
