C3/DS Base Genome via ylukyun on 10/5/2017 | 41 votes Which is your preferred base genome for C3/DS?

I've been dragons all dragons for years. It's all dragonbased. Which I guess goes back to CFF 1.1 and TWB technically, but it's so heavily modded it hardly counts.

Is there a detailed breakdown of the differences between each of these (or the most common anyway) somewhere? I've used a few of these but I would like a side-by-side, detailed comparison that explains how the various differences actually influence the creature in practice. It's probably quite a project to put something like that together... But I think it would be incredibly interesting as well.

I voted 'Other', as I have no experience whatsoever with the genetics (I just discovered the Creatures series approx. 24-hours ago). I've only played approx. a day thus far -- but if you're seeking advice re: which genome base to use I would suggest perhaps using one that is not used as often as others, as it might enable you to create creatures that are different and thus perhaps more 'in-demand'...admittedly I know nothing about how this aspect of the game works, so my advice may well be worthless.
But sometimes going your own way, to be different, may enable results that are not the 'same ole, same ole' -- hopefully that makes sense.

Looks like no preference is winning

Voted CFE so I could see the results... no clear winner at this stage.

I mainly use CFE and CFF, so I voted for more than one.

on the rare occasion I try to edit a genome, I usually use the standard (anything more complex and I know -I'd- just perish hah) also there's still a large amount of breeds that use the standard: it's nice to know that any hybrid offspring are less likely to come out braindead or only walk right forever XD. Also sometimes you just want a creature that you can teach words and leave to their own devices. From messing around with the 2017 genome creatures they require a more hands-on approach early in life.

There should be a "wtf I don't even know what to use anymore, send help" option
Guess "no preference" sort of symbolizes that?

I voted "Other" as I pretty much always use my own base genome (though that genome is CFE-derived). Come to think of it, it's been ages since I've played with any genome that wasn't of my own creation.

Please vote if you can. I need help deciding which one to use when I revamp my old breeds. Thanks!
