...although the nasty bugwriters tend to be focusing their efforts on Windows 7 and 8 these days.  I've still got a laptop on XP, runs fine - I just make sure I've got Ghostery, Flashblock and NoScript running, just to be on the safe side.

I'm happy with Windows XP,and I can't upgrade it on my own because I'm a kid.It's all I've ever had,and I honestly don't feel like asking.What's so bad about it that it should be avoided? | |||

My laptop (a second-hand Dell Latitude.... uhm, I think a 6410) came with a free licensed copy of windows 7. | |||

Are you still using windows XP? I know that a new Copy of windows 7 is rather expensive, but you should try to avoid Windows XP. You could do it like a friend of mine, just grab your smartphone and snap a Picture of a Key on some PC in a Store... ( I am not suggesting you to do so, that is illegal!) | |||
