Experimentation with Tints Screenshots Tarilithina | 9/2/2013 | | I'm trying to learn how to tint properly to get the right colors, so I cloned and tinted a bunch of items from the Capillata. |

Oh, you absolutely can. You might want to take a few precautions, though, to make sure they can't hatch. Tinting an egg is just like tinting anything else once you remove that hazard.

I didn't know you could tint the eggs?

Okay, so far I have figured out a couple of things about rotation and swap.
1 - 255 = Normal colors that make sense.
0 / 256 = Crazy weirdness.

I remember finding an article about tinting once, that explained how the value you pick affects rotation and swap, but I can't find it now. Does anyone else know where this is?
Edit: Nevermind, found it.
This link I just found actually explains it really well, apart from why setting rotation and swap at 0 or 256 results in weirdness. I wish I had known about this article when I first learned how to tint, as it would have saved a lot of trouble and is a lot more informative than what I was able to find previously.

Sure!
Mostly I just need to figure out what exactly it is that rotation and swap do, and why 0 0 0 0 0 is so different from 1 1 1 1 1.

When you get it all figured out, you think you could be talked into writing a tutorial on it?
