My First Immortal Norn Screenshots Hebi | 5/16/2013 | | This female Norn has been a baby for 18 hours now. She does not eat, rarely move (but can), does not sleep, does not grow up and her life chemical is non existent, yet she's still alive. I found this strange mutation in her genome (it seems to be preventing her from reaching childhood, I assume she would die if I ever tried to make her older):
188 Different in file 2 60 0 Emb B MutDupCut 128 0 Organ# = 10, Brain, 00: Unknown, Cell 0 - state 0, chem=Life, thresh=229, nom=119, gain=255, features=Inverted Digital (0)
I'm looking for other clues to understand why she's immortal and am planning on keeping her as a mascot. She's Zebra/Bengal/Bengal des Neiges/Siamese/Magma/Fallow mix. |

OMG! This is so cool (in a freaky way)! Thank you! I shall make a video of her and her many clones with that Thriller song.
(That gene replaces the "Become a child" gene.)

Ow, so it is one of those norns which don't notice that they are dead

Sorry for the long comment, but this little norn is something else! All her organs, beside three, die within 18ish minutes of hatching, including the drives organ(which takes a bit longer to die). As far as I know, the drives organ is essential to a living creature, without it you get zombies. You'd have to load her up with diseases immediately after hatching to actually kill her like that. Otherwise, she just doesn't process the disease(I think).
She also can't starve to death because she is literally a zombie by the time she is 15 minutes old. As far as I can tell, she can only die by force aging her or by injected with the wounded chemical. she can also die by having no energy, but she her organs fail so quickly it doesn't come into effect.
Plus I don't really know what that gene does. Hopefully someone else can explain it? I also don't know why her organs fail so quickly.

I've tried to clone her to make her die of old age, it worked.
However, this one doesn't seem to be able to die of starvation (unless babies can't die of starvation?). I'll check if diseases have any impact on her.

You said she doesn't become child? That is the problem. Norns first have to pass through all life stages up to ancient before they can die of old age.
When they are stuck in a life stage, they never turn ancient. No ancient, no death of age.
I guess diseases still might be able to knock her out. When it works, that is the solution. When she survives, there is more wrong with her. You could make a clone for that purpose. I recommend the export file trick or mini-copier for this.

(I've decided to share Okka, she's up for adoption. :-)

I don't mind giving you a copy of her genetics (I guess it's the file you can find in "worlds"?) but I have no idea how I could send them.

I think she's pretty cute.

She sounds really interesting, is their any chance I could have a copy of her genetics ?
