Chrysid Renders Art Miles | 4/14/2017 | 11 | A WIP insect breed, called Chrysid! The female is on the left.
The side view's eyes are a little buggy (hehehHEHEe) but once I figure that out (and how to render all the sprites ughghhh) I will be releasing these as a breed, as well as the models if anyone wants to mess with it
Made using blender, with textures generated by blender as well. |

This is so cute!
regardign the wings, If they're attached to the arms they will be in front of the tail, would be awkward to work out how the arm atts/sprites are gonna work though.

Such a lovely design, these guys are super cute. They're a lot of fun and very unique, yet I think they'd still fit right in with the game with their appearance and proportions. I'd love to see them become a thing!
It's always neat to see bug-like species with an adorable appeal as they are often aligned towards creepy or gross. I think you got in a nice balance between vertebrate and insect features, where the eyes on the forehead is a great touch. Also fun seeing digitigrade-based legs!
I really like the natural dimorphism between the sexes, keeping it simple and logic. The males got a beautiful and flashy color combination, while the females look nicely bulkier with mute but still appealing colors.
I really like that the colors of the eyes stand out too, this will help keeping them distinct even if genetically hue-swapped. I'm slightly concerned about the wings though. I don't know enough about *.att's, but it seems that wings tend to end up behind the tail? :s

How about this?
I used a hexagonal bump-map. I think this one works best at the small size the sprites will be

Very unique! It'll be interesting to see what crossbreeds look like.

Can you remove the subsurfacing from the eyes so they look compound?
