You will be notified if someone on your friends list comes online or goes offline. Anyone friendly or neutral can send you Norns, but an enemy cannot send you Norns or talk to you at all. You will see that I have friended norngirl and made an enemy of Laura in this screenshot. Clicking on the face will cycle through the three kinds of status - a yellow neutral face, green smiley friend or angry red foe. It died at 1 hour and 20 minutes old. It died in the normal laying position. I thought it would go away eventually, but after about 45 minutes I figured it wasn't moving anytime soon. I went back to the incubator to check on my Norn, and when I came back to check on my Grendels, the dead Ettin had MOVED to this position with the dog in front of it. No idea how this happened   Ok..
