Creatures Caves

One night during a long summer, a small norn sat in a feild of tall grass. His reflective eyes glimmered as he stared at the moon slowly passing over him. A flutter of the grass rubbing against his smooth fur startled him. He has had a long day, playing near the sea in the morning, picking lemons for lunch, and nearly escaping a large tree as it fell over.
His little mind escaped his memory for a second as a cool breeze lightly stroked the grass. The grass waved from side to side, as if it where greeting the wind.
The little norn plucked a blade of grass and inspected it.
It was a tall and thin plant. A green one too. His little mind asked itself a question:
"Why is the tall and thin plant green?"
His eyes looked as close as possible at it. He saw little flecs of somthing on it. There where alot of little flecs on it. With very, very close inspection He saw that the plant was made of little green flecs.
"well," said his mind to itself, "If the tall and thin plant is made of little green flecs, that means the plant must bee green too."
Satisfied with himself, he smiled and leaned back into the grass, staring at the moon again. But then his quizzical mind thought of somthing else.
"why are the flecs green?"
The little norn pondered it for a moment, and with the best of his mind, looked for the thing that makes the flecs green.
"I do not know." Said the norn to himself.
"Maby somone painted the flecs." He thought.
"I dont think somone would go out of ther way to paint every single flec on every single tall and thin plant." His mind responded.
He sat up, and layed his head on his arm.
"Could it be, that the flecs on the tall and thin plant allready are green?" He said aloud.
"I suppose, But that dosent explain why they are green." His mind said again.
"I think it does very clearly," said the little norn, "Very clearly indeed."
The little norn sat in the field of tall and thin plants made of green flecs, and thought.
"Why does it explain it?" His mind asked again.
"well maby..." He paused and looked at the tall and thin plants as they wavered in the cool wind.
"...Maby you dont need to explain it." He continued.
His mind jumped in again: "I think you have to explain it, or else you dont know."
The little norn thought about what his mind was thinking about, but realized that his mind doesent know.
"Its not what you need to know," he said slowly, "We dont know how the moon comes up with night-time, but we know that it does."
"I suppose." His mind said abruptly.
"we dont know how the wind blows, But we know that it does." He said again. "And we dont know why the tall and thin plant's flecs are green, but we know that they are."
He sat back again and looked at the tall and thin plant he was holding in his small paw.
"Isent it funny how mutch we know about not knowing things."
