I miss this game. Ask any users (or everyone) here a question for them to answer.
Please keep your questions within reason, mind: i.e. Don't ask anything inappropriate or too personal!
I'll start:
- Papriko, why bell peppers?
- Savannahs11, what is your icon of?
- Jesseth, what is your favourite art you've drawn? |

Well, I think I told the story exactly once before somewhere on the forums. To make it short: my first PC was really darn slow, too slow for most games, as it was made from scrap pieces dad had laying around.
What it could run, though, was The Gimp, the famous free graphics tool. I was messing around with the filters and all. Filters need a base image to work with, so I simply slapped a couple of bell pepper stencils (yes, Gimp has one ) on a white canvas.
I eventually gave it googly eyes. When I registered to CCaves, I hadn't got any username or anything ready, so I said "meh, whatever" and went for that pepper stencil with the googly eyes XD

I think they're really annoying anymore and only keep the nyan avatar because I'm strangely attached to it. I was weirdly obsessed with them for a while though, probably because of the stinger norns. I added stingers to everything while testing the stinger norns, and it just became a habit. I've been stung my stinger fever, and they're still my default thing when testing out programs.
Anyone, what's your favorite metaroom or breed and why?

My favorite metaroom was Chione. Why Chione? Principally due to his artic feeling she inspire, and the fact that it was not an Christmass-themed metaroom. I mean, my first polar metaroom was the old X-mas Pole for C3, and I have overused it (I still have it but that was not the point). I also like C2toDS due to his living ecosystem, and the vast possibility she offer.
On the breed side, at the risk to sound vague, I like the breeds who look «natural». For example I really like the C1 grendel who came with C12DS metaroom, but I always find the hair ornaments, of the female, a little out-of place, for this reason I have give it the C2 grendel head, for the female, instead. That give it sexual dimorphism, but it still great
My favourites breeds include: Sabertooth, Yautja and C2 Grendel. But I, mainly, breed C2 Grendel.
My turn to ask an question, what your favorite agents (plants, critters, etc) and why?

My favorite breeds are the Aquanorn and the Pearl Mermaid Norn since I love mixing them with non-aqautic Norns in order to get a population of mermaid Norn's.
I don't think I have a particular agent I like the most but I do think those little squirrel things in the desert are very cute.

I have take it as my avatar, because I really like the look of C2 grendels , and also because I prefer breed grendels.

My favorite Creatures game is C3, basically because that's the only game of the three which I've played as a child. I also used to play Creatures Village when I was about 4 years old or something. Both CV and C3 have the ability of controlling your creatures and I think that's the main thing I miss in C1 and C2 because I feel hopelessly lost when I have too many Norns in these games because I feel like I can't control them. If anyone has any great tips on that, let me know

Darby, (derived from "Trelby",) and subsequently DarbyDoo, was a short lived internet nickname that I stopped being comfortable with being called after a while. I felt like TrellyDawn was something I could stick with for a good long while, because my name is Trellis, my friends call me Trelly, and Dawn is my middle name.
Does anyone still play around with Nornpose?

When the Ask Laura column first opened in 2003, I was looking for an agony aunt persona to go with it and the female Treehugger Norn's appearance just seemed to fit that profile perfectly. After that it just kind of stuck, despite me never actually having the Treehugger Norn pack.

I got rid of my avatar after Halloween because I wanted a new one, but then I never got around to it. I'm about to replace it though

I really like Creatures Village. Mainly because I got the music to work but also because it's my main creatures game to poke around the code/images/sound for because of how different it is from the other creatures games.

Sort of just a Shee version of me, to be honest. I've yet to give her a name or backstory.

It's basically this ball of magma with rocky fragments on it that I made in Blender a while back in summer 2015. It kinda turned into a very early foreshadowing of the volcanic metaroom I was developing. |

One for anyone: What do you think is the best input/output circuit you have ever made in Creatures 3/Docked? |

I think my best circuits were A) the railgun using a glitched out numeric output device to overpower a sludge gun and B) a remotely controlled hover tank with +/- switches, radio stations, the hover platform and, again, a sludge gun

I like them since C1, because they are the surprise elements, in the sense that (especially C1) you never know when they will appear and what they will do. And, also, I always liked their looks.

Anyone; what's your take on Creatures Village? For be honest, I have barely play with Creatures Village (contrary to my young brother who have 4 year, back then) but I remember that I have liked the look of the Cavenorn and, also, I found the variety of cultivable plants interesting. Talking about them, I always wonder why anyone have try an port of these plants for C3/DS.
Now the question
What your favourite third-parts plants, and why?

My personal favorite is the Mossy Shee's Tree, because I like the looks of it and it gives some kind of magical atmosphere to a metaroom. I also like the pink flowers that grow from the roof downwards, but I don't know their name anymore
Question to everyone:
Which do you prefer: the expressive version of the Bruin, Civet and Bengal Norn or the "normal" version and why? |

My favourite thing about the Community is that even though the original game is over two decades old, people are still coming together and remembering the games fondly.

My favorite kind of creature is probably Ettins. Smart Ettins, without horrible genetic problems. I have a preference for Grettins and Nettins in particular.
I don't remember my best input/output circuit, but it probably involves a pulse switch and considerable silliness.
KittyTikara, how come the dragon in your signature is actually a tree?
Everyone, what year (approximately) did you start playing creatures? |
TigerCivet

@Deskman:
My favorite kind of creature must be Norns, although I would play with Ettins and Grendels more often if they would also have more third-party breeds.
@Laura:
Where I live we don't celebrate Christmas with presents. So I won't be asking anything except for some activities with the family and a bunch of snow (I can't even remember the last white Christmas).
@Ylukyn:
I probably started playing creatures in 2000, since I first played it when I was four.

If I had to choose I would say a Christmas without presents.
