I recently found out that if I held down the shift button and clicked on a normaly unmovable object, like the incubator, with the left mouse button, then I could pick that object up!
Once, I even picked up a bit of the scenery (waterfall) !
What sort of feature is this?

It's part of the 'Blueberry cheat'. Some programs like Bobcob or CD-disablers automatically activate this cheat. It gives you nifty things such as teaching norns all the words and stuff like that. Useful, but dangerous as well.

Oh...
Yeah. I used the Blueberry cheat. (I wanted to be able to pick up my norns)
I never knew it could do that.
What do you mean by "dangerous"?

I can sort of figure out how to put the scenery back (An inactive version of the scenery is left behind) and the agents still work no matter what.

Not all agents, and besides moving things about there's plenty of other ways to break stuff with the cheat.
