I'm REALLY sorry for making another topic, but this is a really complicated game and I need help again!
I was looking at videos on youtube of DS and I saw one with the game running really fast, and mine always runs dreadfully slow... anyone know what hack he was using? and it's not because my computer is slow because it's actually pretty new...
well here's the vid

Well becuse it DS i can say this!
Did you know that the bamboo takes alot of space! After a long time example in a wolfing run the world can slow down. Why not get the bramboo fix from this link
http://creatures.virtualheaven.nl/
And if you want to read more this link

And also many norns or to many agents can slow the world. Well this is my words. Hope it helps!

wow! I didn't know that about the bamboo! and the guy in the video had TONS of agents so that couldn't be it... I don't remember seeing any bamboo though
besides that I'm pretty darn sure that there was a hack in there because he was picking norns up... darn this is going to bug me!

Its not a hack to pick up norns!
Only hold shift and right click on the norn and you can lift it! Easy!

thank you so much!!!!!
EDIT: I installed the bramboo fix, but it didn't really do all that much... I'm pretty sure that guy was using some sort of a hack to speed the game up

oh... it might be because I have a lot of norns... but even when I have no norns it doesn't run that fast D:

give your computer's specs, please
I always was kind of annoyed at the creature pickup in DS, cause it was explained in C3 via pickups but everything after that absolutely no documentation is given |

uh system specs.... I'm going to look up the model...
ok I found it. There's a black tab that you can click that shows you all of the specs

If I remember right the Bramboo fix will only affect new worlds that you create after installing it (unless you inject it into the world manually), so you might need to export all your creatures and just create a new world, then reimport them all.
It's a good habit to get into anyway-- after playing for too long most worlds tend to get sluggish

You can also get the fix to work by using a new folder in the Bootstrap - that should be in the documentation that comes with it.
Things that affect world speed are:
What version of DS/C3 you're running.
Your computer's CPU and RAM.
What operating system you're running.
How many creatures you have active.
Running DS docked with C3 or standalone (Standalone is faster.)
How many agents you have injected and how often they are running their scripts.
Any other applications you're running on the computer while DS is running will slow it down.
Also it's possible that the person sped up the video (or YouTube did so) after the fact, like time lapse photography, which makes it look faster than it actually was.

no, the guy was filming it and talking at the same time, but this video was made a long time ago... it's weird that my computer is slower because I got it waaaay after the video was made... I suppose the fact that it's a tablet PC makes everything run slower D:

A tablet PC can be a fair bit slower, yes. Voiceovers can be done after the fact, so voice at normal speed doesn't preclude a sped up game clip.
Try limiting your number of rooms/agents and creatures; that's usually what works for me.
