Help Forum Boney Grendels won't breed    Prodigal Sock Ghosthande        8/25/2008 My DS Boney Grendels won't breed. At all. I know Grendels in general can be tricky to breed, but I should have had at least one pregnancy by now! But still nothing. Why is this? Do I need a special agent or something to make them breedable?   Lollipop Lord C-Rex     8/30/2008 Included with the Boney Grendels is a Boney Grendel Update. Inject this, and your Grendels will be able to breed. Hope that helps.   xan   8/30/2008 C-rex that's C2 boney grendels you're thinking of. I do know that last time I had them, I had the Banshees installed too... do the Banshees come with anything to make Grendels breedable? I know they came with a voice update and a Mecha Grendel toy but that's all I can remember.   xan   9/1/2008 Grendels breed on their own in C3DS. The mecha grendel came in the Hardman pack, actually. The Banshee update installs an egglayer and voices, as far as I'm aware.   Prodigal Sock Ghosthande     9/1/2008 No, the Mecha Grendel comes with the Banshees, too. I know this because I have never had the Hardman Norns--I've only had the Banshee Grendels, Treehuggers, and Astros. And it only appeared in my game after I installed the Banshees.   xan   9/1/2008 Oh, my bad. Anyway, look at the genome in question? I've already tried using the Cupid's Lyre--that's why I suspect an update or patch is required, because even with the Lyre, nobody's getting pregnant.   Malkin Manager     9/13/2008 Have you tried inseminating a couple to test if they're incapable of pregnancy? Have you tried cross-breeding a Boney and a normal grendel? My TCR Norns   Prodigal Sock Ghosthande     9/13/2008 I don't have normal Grendels because I don't have C3 on my computer, only Docking Station. That's part of my concern--I've never bred Grendels in DS before without either C3 or the Banshee Grendels installed, so I don't know if the "vanilla" DS standalone is even capable of breeding Grendels. Even with the inseminator, the females will get "pregnant" but they never lay their eggs--they just remain pregnant for the rest of their lives. I noticed a little earlier, as I was breeding some Grenorns, that the ones with Grendel instincts have this problem, but the ones with Norn instincts lay their eggs just fine. Looks like I am stuck until I can get my hands on the Banshees.   Peppery One Papriko   12/31/2008 DS is Grendel-ready. the voices are the only real problem. when you have them you only need a Grendelbreed with own images and you're ready to breed. you could try to take a copy of a working Grendel genome, edit the Apperiance genes to boney Grendel and then rename it so that it overwrites the original Boney genome. I can send you a copy of a Grendel genome if you want. I have Jungle, Banshee, Maraquan and Vampyre. I can also edit them like I said it. Lets play plants! Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis... I went ahead and did it myself, since I'd already downloaded the CFE grendel genome and I need the practice. And it works! I've now got little baby Grendels running around.
