Does anyone know where there's good norn adoption sites?

I would like to take this opportunity to plug my site, The Creature Repository, which at time of writing has 1196 user-submitted creatures for various games, all tagged for your convenience.
The Norn Adoption Center is also good- it has a sort of 'mall' feel to it where everyone has their own little collection for download.

TCR is going to be the best-maintained, as far as my awareness of adoption sites goes.
I recall liking angel's old old creatures website, didn't it have tons of random norns from ds collected on it? if it's still up even? |

ElasticMuffin, none of the adoptions have any files to extract so people can't download them! You should fix that on your site, ElasticMuffin!

You have to click the name of the Norn you want to adopt and then click the "Download this Creature" link on the following page. |

That's what I did Laura! There's no files to extract!

The adoptions I looked at had files to extract inside their zip folders - which Norn(s) are you trying to download? What are their names? |

1. Okay, so after you've clicked the download link you need save the .zip folder to somewhere on your computer (I recommend your Desktop - it means the download is easier to find once it's finished).
2. Once the download has finished you need to extract the files and then copy & paste the
'1181-Seamore.creature' file into your "My Creatures" folder.
3. Then just import Seamore into your game. |

Not to turn this into a TCR thread (sorry), but are you on a Mac, Melody? I have heard of some people having a bit of trouble with it on Macs.

haha, you found my old fuzzy site! Yep I've got a few nice DS norns up there... that's really all my site ever had to offer.
my god, that was like seven years ago!
I showed the site to my bf like a year ago and he still won't let me live it down for how lame and cutesy it was!
Yes, I'm the forum ... Any questions?

I didn't think it was that cutsey. Having this at the bottom of the homepage wins you one Internet at the very least (even if it is broken).
I was hoping The Creatures Match was still working, because the host had some very nice norns up for download including some "tortured" norns you probably would have liked to nurse back to health, Melody.
You have to be honest with yourself when you are writing. If that leads to somewhere unexpected then perhaps you really needed to go there.

I miss the creatures match, I read through most of it and it broke when I tried to come back to check some things.
angel I saw a scientology ad on your website that I sadly failed to screenshoot, is that cutesy enough?
e@melody: this isn't neopets or whatever your other haunt is. if we have more input we'll find the topic and add it (barring the failings of the forum pagination script, but that's an aside). you can see the forum index as well as anyone else, the topic isn't going anywhere.
The best resources seem to have already been posted. |

Try looking up the website "Tortured Norns" on the Creatures Wiki Melod, you should find an archive of it. |

Yeah, with information about the breeds, not places to adopt them. Search for "Norn Adoption"--that'll bring up links to every web site listed on Creatures Wiki that has adoptions.

I thought the breed articles on the C Wiki did link back to downloads/ websites? |

They do sometimes link to places where you can download the breed, but that's generally it, since CWiki is an encyclopedia and not a link directory. Unless the web site that hosts the breed just happens to have adoptions too, but searching every breed's homesite on the off-chance they also have adoptions isn't the most efficient way to go about it.
