News Forum Help Plan CCSF 2010!    Amaikokonut        6/8/2010 The CCSF 2010 Surveys are currently underway! Right now Survey 1 is open and will run until June 22nd. This first survey runs a bit longer to give us extra time to spread awareness, but later surveys will only be open a week, so hopefully we will come to a decision quickly Visit the CCSF 2010 Survey Center to input your ideas! And please, please help spread the word of this around as much as possible! The results of survey one are also up, and I highly recommend reading them; if nothing else, the theme results are a definite must-read; there's some really nice ideas there. Please vote for the option Creatures Community Playground. Creatures has been the playground of the entire lot of us since the moment we picked up our first game and hatched our first Norns! Lets get together and make more fun for ourselves and in the process provide avenues for growth of the Creatures Comunity! Also, I didn't mind the idea of helping out with the CCSF, but I don't know as much as Liam, so I was kind of uncomfortable with being named the leader. (Perhaps next year we could have Co-leaders or something?) Anyway, if you vote for Liam, you can be assured I'll be helping him as much as I can, and I'll be very available to do all I can to help with this year's CCSF celebration! TreeSprite's Creatures Grove TreeSprite's Creatures Grove Forums   Don     6/24/2010 I'd like to see Creatures Future as the theme - how would Norns and Grendels have evolved together on a 3D world with natural selection, and where will the CC itself be in a few years from now. 2010 is a big year and I think we need to get building for our future *Tries to avoid obvious openc2e link* Don AmberCreatures   Malkin Manager     6/26/2010 TreeSprite, I know how you feel about being an official coordinator. I don't feel I have the skills, so I couldn't accept the nomination. I figure the best thing I can do is work on a submission, and talk to people about the CCSF and encourage people to submit something. My TCR Norns   Amaikokonut     6/30/2010 Survey 3 is up guys, now through July 7th! Sorry it took so long-- on top of being in and out of town all week, this survey proved to be a bit more complicated to sort out than expected. This survey narrows down the choices to those that received a check from more than 29% of voters (which really equates to nine or more votes). With less to sort through, you can decide on your favorites We do seem to have come to one pretty firm choice already though-- that is that for the most part, we agree on a two-week CCSF. Over 80% of voters voted for two weeks; the only option that came even somewhat close was three weeks, which only got a check from just under 26% of voters. I did run into one oddity-- even though nearly half of you thought that an eleven-day CCSF spanning November 1-11th was a good idea, only about 13% of you liked the idea of an 11-day CCSF at all. I wasn't really quite sure how to deal with that, so I disregarded it for now, but the option will probably resurface on survey four (hopefully the last), just in case. That said, this survey will most likely decide the theme and the coordinator for this CCSF, while survey four will hopefully finalize the dates. [Naturing :: Nurturing]   Don     7/1/2010 A two week November CCSF sounds ideal Just thinking about the dates, We have Get Online Day on Saturday 6th November, then I think if the Festival started on say Sunday 7th Nov then that'd give people the Saturday day off to make any final preparations. Two weeks could take the event to Sunday November 21st, which would include the C1 anniversary. We could even have another Get Online Day on the Sunday 21st as well to complete the event. Can't wait to see what everyone votes for Excellent work Amaikokonut! Must be hard work sorting through everything. Survey four, hopefully the last, is now up through July 14th! This last survey decided (barely, I might add) that Liam will be the elected coordinator! That's not to say that the others won't play a huge part in coordination too; Liam has stated that he will soon be contacting people to aid in coordination, so hopefully we'll meet our coordination team very soon It was also pretty decided that the community favored a CCSF that fell either at the end of October or the beginning of November. This last survey lets you vote for exact dates based on suggestions given in the previous survey. The theme votes were pretttty close, so I figured while we're doing another survey anyway, we might at well narrow it down once more, so the top three theme candidates are up for a final round of votes. This survey is extremely short; no reason not to take it now! So head over to the CCSF Survey Center to cast your final votes [Naturing :: Nurturing]   Jessica     7/7/2010 I love these surveys! They're really a very fun and interesting way to interact and take part in a community event without requiring too much time. Unless, of course, you're like me and tend to go on and on with some responses. Ha ha! I love me some ettins! From Atavist to Chameleons to Guppies to Poodles, they're amazing things! As a celebration of Ettins, I'm doing an inseminator project, utilizing the cute Aardvark Norn heads, and the cute Guppy Bodies/Colors, I'm going to get great ettins! I've had some crazy results, like a guppy ettin with Aardvark Norn Legs, that's color variation caused them to take on the color of Draconorn Legs & Arms (Even funnier, the scally legs of the aardvark norn makes it look like the skin of a draco norn!). Then there are a lot of accidents that result in perfect looking babies, but they're Norns, so no color variation, and, they aren't what I need. Plus, Norns that looks like Ettins, Ettins that look like norns, you know, deceivers. Wish me luck, and a happy week to you all! beep
