GeoCities is being closed down completely in a couple of days, this Monday (October 26th). This is a financial decision made by Yahoo, which purchased GeoCities ten years ago. This means that numerous Creatures fan websites hosted on GeoCities will no longer be available as of Monday. Several non-profit groups, including Internet Archive and Archive Team, have been working hard to backup as much of GeoCities as possible before Monday's shutdown. However, if you have a Creatures fan website hosted on GeoCities, I recommend you backup all of your files this weekend (if not already). Shame to see GeoCities go under these circumstances. I'm currently browsing some of the sites and downloading COBs and Agents. It's a trip down Memory Lane for us. Have a nice weekend. |

Not to worry, GeoCities sites (inc. the Norn & Grendel Paradise) are currently being archived and will be available online after GeoCities closes. If anyone need a static archive of their site hosting or, any sites with a lot of content that are being kept up to date which you'd would like ftp hosting, then just let me know as I've got plenty of space available. Well that's some good news, I really hate that a lot has closed already, I figured that a good bit was hosted there.. I would've really hated to lose even MORE of the community. |

Oct.25,2009. This date marked the death of a precious hosting site. Many communities have had many contributions here. However,GeoCities willl always live on in our archives. (I just had to okay!
