We now have code tags so that you can easily, and more legibly, post lines of code for others to see. The code tags work on the main website, in the forums and even on My Caves. The format is simply [ code ] some text [ / code ], of course without the spaces.  Here's an example:
They should be useful for when people need HTML, PHP or other web programming help, as well as for CAOS help and any other programming language. If you have any feedback post it here! - Rascii |

Yeah, it gets ride of the spaces to prevent table stretching. ![:\](/images/smilies/confused.gif ":\") Sorry.Several people have mentioned that the colors of the code blocks aren't different enough from the rest of the normal tables and text. If I use a completely white background it looks awful, but I think a really dark background with white text might contrast too much. Also, with the current set up it's not really possible for me to do different colors depending on which area of the site you're viewing, so the blocks have to look good in My Caves as well as the normal site/forums. Unless I just remove the code tags from that area. What do you guys think? - Rascii |

Well what i can see (decent at html) is it would be fine to change the background of the quote on both my caves and forums here we got Blue background White Foreground (quote block) my caves has an even lighter blue background so the current white probally anit the best for either of them I would probally go with the Black foreground quotes with BOLD white text What you think about that? or just let the forums use quotes its self Grow Shrooms |

So long as you can see the green code text clearly enough, that's all that matters? Probably just me, but I can't really see the problem... Is it possible to make the blocks transparent? |

As in the same color as the table they're in or the same color as behind the table they're in? Both would be possible. I just figured it would be better to have some contrast for the code blocks, which would include changing the bg color. Usually after toying with stuff I find the perfect combination but not really in this case. And currently the background color of the code blocks is the same on all areas of the site, biohaze. - Rascii |

The same color as the light blue. Saying that, I still think nothing's wrong with how the code blocks are right now - you can still see the code clearly. |
